Garage lifts

Can you guys give me your picks for the best garage lifts to gain an extra parking spot? My Garage space is pretty small but I have high ceilings. I dont mind spending top dollar to get a really nice one. For my space limitations it would be nice if somebody made a 2 post style?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks Brian

Call Chris at CEM (Complete equipment & maintenance) They installed all our double stack lifts and in ground units. His office number is 425-487-0897
He will be able to point you in the right direction for what size and space you have.

Depends on what your requirements are besides the extra space. Since you did mention a 2 post, the choices are symetrical and asymetrical. What is the shape of your floor? Good to have at least 4-6 inch pour with high PSI cement. Min 12 ft. Ceiling. Power 220V is best. Is you car low? Will need to know for lift pad options.

I have had great luck with Rotary asymetrical. 10K Lbs commercial with low adjustable pads. Difference between lesser weight rating was not worth the thought of squashing anything below.

Thought starters, hope this helps.

+1 on Chris at CEM, very responsive and will help you with facts on your decision.

Two posts are great, the best for a working garage but require a bit wider space than a 4 post.

Don't know what your ceiling height is but there are all type of options. If you have an 8' ceiling, some installers will cut two square holes in the sheetrock and fit 9' posts the extra 1' into the space. Very clever!

Thanks all for the feedback. I called Chris and he seems very sharp. Getting ready to break ground soon so I'll report back with updates. If anyone has more idea's let me know. I'm leaning towards 4 post. I have muscle cars in my collection and although I maintain them well you never know when a leak pops up. Any thoughts on drip protection? I dont want my 997 t-cab getting fluild drips!
