I've been following this thread for a while. I'm interested too. BTW, for comparison, my dealer quoted me $5500 for the parts and labor to install the GTS/Turbo spoiler.

Talking

Oh wow! I never got to go to any garage in US, so I really have no clue of how the garage there usually charge, but unless the labour for taking off the old one and putting in the retrofitted one cost over US$1,000 over there in US, I think you should consider the plug and play product from the shop I go...

Just curious, How much is the oem turbo spoiler over there in US? Do you need to order it? And if so, how long does it take? It took me about one month to order it in, then all those time waiting for the R&D, another month, it was such a painful wait, but now it's all worthwhile!

For you guys from HK and South China, if you see a GT Silver Panamera 4S perfectly retrofitted with turbo spoiler, that would be no one else, it can only be me! Hehehe... At least before diss23 got it...

Still showing off happily on the highway... Got a little over my head thou... Got a speeding ticket recently

It was about 3k for the wing +/- 500. They have never done it before, so I figure they would aim high on the estimate and keep the change if it turned out easier. This estimate includes the reprogramming for the wing (obviously). When I asked for the quote, I asked for the "GTS wing". I wonder if there is a different program for the Turbo vs the GTS.

just for everyone's information. I ordered the turbo wing from the same shop as wnshie has installed his wing. The cost for the turbo spoiler plus installation cost just less than US$3k, and take approx. one month to order. As far as I know, a turbo wing cost about 1-1.5k

Nice, so the shop that sells it plug n play is the best route? OR has anyone figured out the wiring modification?

Hi there, Porsched4ed, I suppose you can always do it the cheap Chinese way, as long as you have a turbo spoiler in your hands, it shouldn't take more than an hour to figure it out yourself. As long as your panny don't have sport plus mode and/or you never go on track, you might be able to live with it.

dlss23, I wouldn't trust the ones from Taobao claiming to sell it at anything cheaper than RMB15,000 (~US$2,400; yes, they dropped the price recently from RMB18,000~US$2,900, I noticed) since they are actually selling a partial turbo spoiler if you have a closer look; I don't think you can even order a partial spoiler like that... at all...

Hi wnshie, is good to hear from you. I am still waiting the shop to install the spoiler for me... he said it will be very soon. Let's see!

You mentioned the sport plus mode again, yes my car has sport chrono package, the shop already fixed the problem right?

Perhaps i should whatsapp you instead

dlss23, it also took me forever, since the parts importer and Porsche don't keep stock, we have no choice but wait. Regarding the Sport Chrono mode, don't worry, I can assure you their version has no such problem. I am at that shop right now, if you are interested you can come by to check out what I have been talking about.

Just a quick update for everyone.
Thanks to our member wnshie, my P4S has successfully installed the turbo spoiler. It took about 4-5 hours, no reprogramming required, just simply plug and play. My car looks perfert now The spoiler works fine in sport plus mode

Sounds interesting. So besides the spoiler part(s), what else was required to perform the retrofit?

Was the shop able to perform all the work by just taking off the interior trim?
Interested in knowing more details of course!
