I will be adding articles about every mod that I have done over there. I will also create support documents so everybody who wants to do those things can do them in the near future.
Subscribed! would you by any chance have a planned trip to Dallas, TX? I'd love to do the rear wing mode Thanks
@atwong1 do u think that this spoiler could be fitted to another non Porsche car?
eg. Vauxhall insignia vxr. I think in the states it could be the Buick Regal GS

After studying the way they did it (and tried it; it's found to be a low tech modification), there are some problems that cannot be avoided:
(1) both extending and raising, or retracting and lowering, motions happens at the same time, the extending motion might end up scratching the sides of the trunk, and the behaviors of the spoiler definitely don't look turbo'ish
(2) when the vehicle speed falls from above the speed of around 200 km/h on Sport/Standard mode but still above 95 km/h, the spoiler would lower from its highest position to the standard position, when this happens the gull wings would unavoidably retract! (which is definitely wrong already!)... half way! (Ouch!)... and stuck there! (THAT definitely makes a scene) until the spoiler lowers itself all the way down back into its bay! (That would be below 85 km/h... and too late to hide!)
(3) when the vehicle speed is at above the speed of around 95 m/h on Sport Plus mode, when you at that time switch from Sport Plus mode to Sport/Standard mode, the spoiler would lower from its highest position to the standard position, when this happens the gull wings would also behave like what happens in (2) above
So for the Panamera built with Sport Plus mode or would once in a while have a good run on the race course, you had better not use such low tech retrofitting method, and this is also why they have to install the turbo spoiler at their shop (to hide it, because it's too easy to do it once you know how they do it)
Now, after so many trials and errors, with the help of an electronic engineer, the shop finally solved all those problems and got me the long awaited "plug and play" turbo spoiler for all Panamera/4/S/4S! I'm soooo happy! http://youtu.be/Mj3P_ZFTxyw
Question. I am trying to access the motor wire harness underneath the latch. How did you go about removing the plastic trim on the inside of the hatch, underneath the spoiler? I tried prying but do not want to break.
I agree that the duck tail would be a tasteful mod for non-turbo owners. Trying to replicate a turbo spoiler on a normally aspirated car is a no no, should have bought a turbo to start out with
So there is only one person in the country doing this mod?
Is that correct?
i think there is only one person in whole North America that can do this like factory installation. I flew him to Vancouver/ Canada and he did it for me.
it looks and feels great.
👍
This is the plug that you have to build to interface with the turbo spoiler. I am going to buy some more of the other pins needed and rebuild mine to blend completely into the factory wiring. and I am selling my first improved harness set in 2 weeks, and I will sell one more every other week until I run out of materials. I will list them on eBay, and it will come with all the proper crimping tool, instructions and support for only this mod using PIWIS, but if you prefer you can choose to drive to Atlanta to get it programmed by me for a small fee. Besides Leslie who has already reserved a set, are there anyone else here who are interested?
