They are all MONSTERS.

I'm personally a BMW guy, so I would take the M5 all day.

But drive the AMG, go drive the M and see which you like better.

Compared to the two others, the Panny feels like something different, like a sportscar. Not like a 911, more like a Corvette. The two others are really fast, but the truth be told, they still feel like sedans, although really fast ones. Powerwise the Panny turbo seems to even be the underdog as the two others have turbo s competing power in the dry, not even close in the wet or snow, they have way too much power for rwd. The Panny is a phone camera magnet, the two others will only be recognized a car freak. I wanted something different this time and went for the Panny, also because it has awd. You wont get bored with this one.

Have not driven the M5 yet, as they are not giving test drives in winter. I wonder if that has anything to do with the way it handles? Would be happy with any of the abovemetioned, if only they all had awd as an option.

There is no better performer with 4 doors than a Panamera Turbo.
designed as a sportscar from the ground up, just with 4 proper seats.

thanks Kip...I didn't get to drive the cls 63 as they sold it last night at 8pm, go figure...funny to your review however that my wife said the same thing...the PTT seems different and special the cls while beautiful is just a "car" albeit a very fast one. The PTT is very different and does feel different to drive and navigate. I plan on sending out my ecu to EVO and bumping power up to 600hp/tq etc...i would imagine it will feel faster than the PTT S as boost will be higher than the S and i ordered the PTT with the sports package, 5mm spacers, all the stuff that comes standard on the S besides the power package...Sport design package, carbon interior, black interior, white exterior and some other goodies....

Jeff, the PTT is not your common 5 series M5 or common Merc.

While they are both great cars and having owned both older series, at the end of the day, there regular 5 series and merc's with a lot more power.

The PTT stands out more as a Porsche and drives at least better than the CLS for sure and a lot faster as well. Now the new M, I would live up give it a spin, and even though my friend test drove and he wasn't impressed at all, I would still live to see it to believe it.

We are all car nuts and any of these cars will be sufficient for anything we throw at em. Just test drive them and judge for yourself. We all have our own scales and might differ at times.

Sounds like really nice package! About the powerkit. I took it more because of getting rid of turbo lag, spool up 50 percent faster than normal turbos, than the power boost. You will love your car.

I think you are on the right track and you will be very happy with the PTT you have on order. The CLS is very nice and fast, but the back seat is pretty useless unless your under 5' 8" tall. It does not have the same feel in driving as the PTT. The PTT also has a very comfortable back seat. The M5 is not out until September or October (here in the USA) and will be very fast as well, maybe the most bang for the buck.

End of the day for those lucky enough to have the coin to get a PTT or PTTS you will never look back and say "I should have bought a..."!

All great cars, no bad choices - so whatever you like best is the way to go. Good luck with your decision.

I am glad the last few posts clarified things pretty well for you and thanks for your wife having some sense. The other cars are great cars but they are not a PTT. You might as well consider a CTS-V or pick a corvette over a 911. Once you experience both you will just know.
When I started my career, my first car was a 98'Vette and then a 2001 Z06, they were great for what they were. Now I have experienced german/euorpean sports cars and see that there is nothing else for me on other continents..... wow I sound like a euro snob.
