Any dead pedals available?

I have the beige carpet in my Panny and I'm struggling to keep the dead pedal area looking clean. Does anyone make an aluminum (or other material) cover that goes over the stock dead pedal? Thanks!

I had the same annoyance. Maybe Porsche forgot to put it on their options list so they could soak us some more.

I fixed the issue by ordering a dead pedal from Ultimate Pedals www.ultimatepedals.com.

The 970 is not listed so I called them and they assured me that the 997 pedal would fit. I purchased the 997 pedal and here how it looks. See what you think.

Cool, thank you! Although I think what we really need is one that wraps around the right side. It's that right edge of the carpet that I find is most prone getting dirty. Anyone else aware of such a thing that will fit?

I agree. A wrap-around would be perfect, but I'm not aware of any. A wider one would also be more preferable to what I have now. If you find something better, please let me know.

Ultimate Pedals

I contacted Ultimate Pedals and here is their response. Please note that, if you want a larger pedal, they can make it any way you want it. I am not associated in any way with them - I am simply a consumer looking for good quality products with excellent customer service - they seem to offer that. That is all.

Thank you for your reply.

Here is the pricing you requested (assuming all frosted anti-slip without grip inserts):

1) flat footrest $129
2) shipping ~$17 (UPS Ground within the Continental US)

Please note that the footrest quoted is the same size as the current OEM vinyl insert.

No problem to make a larger footrest to better protect the carpeting (additional fees may apply).

We would need to know how large a footrest is possible in the space provided.

No problem to post pricing and contact information.

Any help in promoting the product would be greatly appreciated.

Word of mouth is one of our best sources for new customers.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Don't settle for "One Size Fits All" pedals.

Have a great day!

I wish I'd have received that response (rather than "the 997 pedal will fit") because a custom one with full coverage would have been much better.

Cool, thank you! I'll reach out to them and see what can be done and then report back.

reviving this thread from the dead. I saw on the porsche build your car configurator that a aluminum sport pedal footrest is available if building the car new. Wonder if they will offer this as a porsche accessory soon. my dead pedal area is getting dirty just after the first two days of driving.

I can't seem to keep mine clean either, I can't stand looking down and seeing a dirty dead pedal shortly after I just cleaned it.

here are some new products I ran across. Looking to get some for my Turbo soon. Most importantly they have a dead pedal that wraps around the side.

Seems to require drilling into the stock foot rest though, so it isn't a drop in replacement and it changes the height of the foot rest a bit...

Seems, your right, not sure if the aesthetic is worth it, this is certainly not a functional upgrade.

It does look cool though! Might just have to move my seat back a bit!

I'm still searching! Seems that there are quite a few of us looking for a drop-in replacement...

Anyone know how the factory aluminum dead pedal attaches? I am wondering if a cayenne one will fit.
