The only thing getting me through this rotten winter...

is my ride to work

Ice, sleet, snow, and 6 degrees outside the first week in March??? Really? My poor 40th anniversary 911 has unfortunately been hibernating most of this winter due to the excessive bad weather we've had this year. Thank God for the PTT. Spring can't come soon enough.

I KNOW that there are others in the same situation, let's see some winter Panny pics.

Well, it was gleaming for about a 1/2 mile. After that it was covered in road salt and grime and still is right now. Hope to be able to fix that later this week.

Glad we had a soft winter on our side of the pond this year, did't even have to stick the winter tyres on!

Our winter has not been so kind. I have the Sotto Zeros on, which have worked great, except for blowing two of them on potholes.

How well do your Panny's handle the snow?
I can't give my Quattro's enough props, my 4Matics were massively disappointing, what about Porsche?

This was the first year I've had a P4S in the snow and it was amazing. Way better than previous Mercedes 4 matics. I also preferred it to our BMW X3 and 330xi, both of which are great in the snow.
I've always enjoyed my 911 C4S's in the snow although the 911 can ride a little too low in deep snow.
The Panamera was built for the snow! (Pirelli Sotto Zero's on all 4)

Ditto. First year for my PTT in the snow, same tires, same good experience so far

Thanks for the info. However I also had an X3 (1st generation) and never considered that car to be a 4x4. I can't say it was great in snow. I was up in the Swiss Alpes and got stuck several times uphill. That car was useless up in the mountains that's why I didn't bother mentioning BMW in my list
I am confident my Panny will perform much better
