I called Hennessy, they couldn’t really tell me what the software does. My car has been at Porsche for 3 days now and on test 2 of software from Porsche with no luck.
Hey man I am in the same boat as you which is crazy already. I have my 2010 Panamera at the Porsche dealership for the past two days. So far they have said they tried the handover which we already know that doesn't work. They then said we could update the PCM but take the risk of frying the PCM. But the funniest thing they said was it may need a new PCM.......BUT Porsche does not make them anymore???? What manufacture doesn't make parts for a car that is only 10 years old!!
The car is still at the Porsche store and they are looking into what to do next. Anybody else have any ideas cause that would sure help at this point?
FYI on the XM, I had xm cancel my subscription but I still had all the channels. So the only way for it to cancel you have to do the vehicle handover and then press and hold the OPTION button for 10 seconds then XM goes to the preview channel. But of course PCM still reboots every 2 min.
Just got a call from the dealership, it's done! It was a software update from Porsche that fixed it. Not sure why all dealerships are not receiving all the information or updates, but it was not a full PCM update rather just a code update.
Just got car back, description is kind of Greek, but from what it says it looks like they took XM off PCM, ran the software update, did handover, and re-enabled XM.
What Porsche store did you take it to since I may need to have the Saskatoon store call them on what they did.
That's awesome you got it fixed because this is so frustrating already.

i asked the service guy why isn’t Porsche sharing all this information and he said dealing with them since the CDN split has been a nightmare. The tech actually called a tech friend inTexas to get the answer.
So the only thing I found different is when in reverse I do not have the spacing lines anymore. If this was a setting I can’t figure out how to put it back on, anyone else?
2010 4s with the same issue, called every dealer in Wisconsin and they are all "waiting" on Porsche. I emailed Porsche and they said go to the dealer for further assistance. What a "S" show this is sure doesn't feel like a luxury car when you have to pull fuses to get it to work, I remember doing that with my beater in high school. Also canceled the XM subscription I had a week ago and still getting stations, called their "listener experts" a few times and can only get sorry sir but your service is canceled and there is nothing we can do.
I’m pretty much on the same page as you. 2010 4s, I’m the only owner. Absolutely LOVE the car but this is ridiculous. Brought my car to Bellevue Porsche (WA), was told the same as you:
“Waiting to hear from Porsche”
I mean I get it...something messed up between a Serius XM update and Porsche’s PCM
I had something similar happen years ago
But it’s been how many weeks/months now?
Fix it!!!

So here’s what I did with my 2010 TT. First I cancelled SiriusXM. Waited a few days for it to go away, however the PCM cycling probably continued and two days later my car wouldn’t start...DEAD BATTERY. Charged it up, drove it to the dealership in Larchmont NY and had them uninstall Sirius from my PCM . Also got a new battery ($371+$225 labor)which they programmed for the car.
Now I have AM,FM,DISC and AUX Bluetooth which I use for Spotify.Once Porsche gets around to solving the problem, I might reinstall SiriusXM, but then again I might not.
Call XM and get a CSR on the horn. Have them cancel the signal being sent to your specific XM ID. Confirm with them verbally that they've done it and that your car does not - and will not - get any more "refresh" signals. Go out to the car and go through the vehicle handover process. Done. It's been a month for me and no reboots anymore.
I cancelled XM on June 16th. Every time I call them to send a signal I keep getting the run around from them saying you have a cancelled account and there is nothing we can do. I have called them multiple times with no luck, my last hope is a dealer will uninstall xm on my car otherwise I am changing to a new head unit entirely. The Pioneer AVIC looks nice.
Well it has been almost 3 months of dealing with this issue, finally fixed the problem after countless hours lost calling CrapusXM and local and out of state dealers. One dealer was going to try and see if they could disable xm on my PCM but it was a $200 good luck fee with no guarantee they won't fry it. With that being said I figured I might as well take some stuff apart, worst part was getting the center vents out because I didn't buy the specialty tool, being careful with a very thing flat head screwdriver you can get the vents out.
Pulled the PCM and took it apart to see what makes it tick, kinda scary pulling the face plate off because it is four screws then 2 ribbon connectors but they are wedged into place with a piece of plastic, easy to get apart but difficult to reassemble, crack open the PCM it slides apart then splits. Find this little pesky circuit board, 2 screws and pull the wire, reassemble and the car is back to normal.
I can still use the bluetooth on my phone to stream to the PCM and all other functions work like normal.
If anyone is really annoyed with the issue and can't fix it this is another option. Any questions let me know, I forgot to take pictures during disassembly.
