My new Panamera
New to Panamera, and thus new to Porsche. I'm picking up a 2011 Panamera Turbo this week. Trading in my 650i.
Can't wait, super excited.
I'll post my thoughts about the new car, and how it compares to the BMW when I pick it up.

Welcome to the other side! I went from a 750i to my P4S. I also owned three 6 Series cars before that. I have nothing but good things to say about those BMWs, but Porsche is another level up. Congrats on your PTT!
Well, I picked up 2 days ago.
This car is amazing. Its a beast. I'm so glad I made the switch.
I have never had so much attention while driving it. I picked it up in Ottawa and drove it back to Toronto. It was quite the experience. A white CLS 550 "AMG" saw the PTT sped up, weaving in and out of traffic on the 401 trying to get a glimpse of the car. This was repeated by someone driving a RAV4, cutting people off trying to see who was driving the car.
I had parked it outside of a Wendy's to grab a pick bite at one of the Rest Stops - people walking around the car, pointing at it, it was pretty funny.
I didn't realize how fast this thing was - I put it into SPORT, and I was going 160km is seconds without realizing it. How the hell did Porsche do this.
Its a fully loaded PTT - 2011 with 38000k, I got for just $100k. Full leather, 18way, 20" RS Spyder rims, Burmester, insulated glass with full climate control for the back seats. I was hoping I could find a car with PSE but I don' think I care anymore as the car is so quiet with the insulated glass.
My 650i had the B+O which is pale compared to the Burmeister.
A few let downs, which I'm hoping to remedy.
1. It doesn't have Sirius/XM - I'm a huge satellite radio fan, can I get this installed into the PCM?
2. Steering wheel is not heated (it originally was a Florida car) - can I swap out the steering wheel for one that is heated?
3. Has this ugly wood trim, planning to order the CF trim from Suncoast.
I'll try to post some pics in a few days when I get some time.
Wow, overall very happy. This was my first Porsche and can't imagine driving a more perfect car. I was seriously considering getting a V8 Vantage for the summer, but now am considering staying in the Porsche family and getting a 991 911 for the summers...

Dude, (I assume you're a dude) congrats and welcome. Well done man. I myself entered into this realm in April of this year and it's been awesome. I will say that I also do not have satellite radio. I've been asking around but met with very little success. There's one dude who added it to the PCM on his 911 I think but haven't seen much else. If you find anything please post it.
Congrats on the PTT! I've got one, too and laughed a little when you referred to her as a "beast" because I use the same descriptor. I doubt you'll be able to add the SAT radio easily, nor the heated steering wheel. I almost bought one at Rector Porsche before I bought mine and it was missing both of those options. I researched it as did the dealership and they can't be added, at least without great expense. Hope I'm wrong. Anyway, PICS! Here's mine to encourage you. Cheers!

Congrats on the car. I am surprised that they would order the car with an expensive stereo and no Sat radio. There are a couple things you can do. I don't think 2011 had Bluetooth streaming built in, so you can buy a Bluetooth streaming adapter plug it in where it Ipod adapter (then use Aux as source) cables go and stream from your phone. I do this with Pandora in my 2010. You can also put a module in but it is not as easy as it sounds. As far as the heated steering wheel I think it can be done though these cars are not prewired for the heated steering wheel so you will need someone fairly good to do this. Also the button is on the back of the wheel unlike BMW's it is hidden so maybe it is there. Good luck
I've pretty much molested the steering wheel - no luck. Would buying a new steering wheel be possible what had the button on it work? Not sure how the wheel is wired.
Congratulations
-- I am also relatively new to the my PTT. I am pretty certain the Burmeister head unit has BlueTooth streaming but is not on by default. You have to go to "Aux" then click options -- there you will be able to turn it on.
Then stream XM/Sirius/Pandora/Aha/iTunes/GooglePlay/iHeart/etc etc etc
Also I've put a bunch of MP3s on a USB stick and use that -
