Warranty

Does anyone know any good warranty company and average price for 3 year 36000 mile for my 2013 GTS ? My factory warranty will be expire by next April. Porsche does not offer extended warranty.

Here's a good read.

Fidelity seems to be most popular and you should be around $1000 a year.

For my PTT I have Easycare which seems to be a big aftermarket coverage provider for Porsche dealers. I paid about 2500. They only cover the specific items listed on the policy. I submitted my first claim due to a thermostat housing leak and they did not cover it because that specific component was not listed. The V8s have metal cooling pipes in the valley under the intake that are held together with glue, , and are prone to failure. There is also a coolant manifold at the rear of the engine with the same issue. I would try to find a company that covered these items if you plan to keep the vehicle for an extended period. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...stributor.html

My PTT is in the same state at the dealership and hopefully it will be fixed by monday with updated part.

Why can't you just extend the factory warranty with the Porsche Approved warranty ?

I have that on my PGTS from 2013 and it works super. That I should be able to extend until the car is 10 years old.

This is a good question.. Why can't owners simply CPO thier own cars?

I asked a dealer about it before my factory warranty expired and was told that it was not possible. i don't remember details, I just remember it being a long explanation that didn't make a lot of sense. I must note that I was not the original owner and that the dealer was not the origin of initial purchase.

Unless there are other rules in the U.S. You don't have to be the original owner of the car in order to get the Porsche Approved warranty. The car needs to pass a big check by Porsche and of course all services needs to have been done by Porsche also.

Correct. You can buy extended warranty in Europe.
In America, the dealer must own the car, perform CPO inspection as per factory specs, then resell car with the extended warranty. There is no other way.

Strange why it is not the same. How long is the extended warranty you can get then ?

Yeah, it sucks in America but there are 3rd party companies that the dealers sell to owners.

CPO is 2 years...

CPO is around $5000 extra when buying a used car from a Porsche dealer.

3rd party (fidelity is best) around $1000-1500 per year. Depends on the dealer, they make commission on the sale. You can shop around all over the country and find the best deal. Usually they don't even inspect the car, just look at history. There are other companies as well but it's hit or miss if they cover whatever breaks.

I just paid about $3300 for 3years/36000miles warranty from Fidelity on my 2011 PTT. You want to call Sunset Porsche in Oregon. My local dealer in PA gave me a quote for almost $6000 for the exact same warranty from Fidelity!

I just got this quote from a fellow that sells fidelity warranties. I have used him in the past, this is all he does and he's pretty good at it... can't beat his prices.

The more miles the car has, the higher the premium. If your car has less than 25k miles, it'll be substantially less.

Vehicle: 2011 - 2016 Porsche Panamera (non-Hybrid) with 25,001 - 35,000 miles.

Fidelity Platinum w/ $250 deductible.
2 yr / 24K - $1929.00
3 yr / 36K - $2677.00
4 yr / 48K - $3603.00
5 yr / 60K - $4220.00
6 yr / 60K - $4313.00

Just goes to show you the markup that dealerships put on these warranties and pocket the difference. If you want his info, pm me.
