oil pressur sensor (sender) replacement info
@clc3251 , personally, I would not waste time trying to clean the contacts. Once the sensor goes bad, it will either be intermittent, or wont work at all. Cleaning it means you will have to spend time getting the thing out, then cleaning connector way down there (really means only spraying with contact cleaner), then reassembling to make sure you check if the thing works. Then, most likely you will again do the same job again, to replace the sensor. The sensor will cost you about $160-$200 depending on place of purchase. Time to replace will be in hours every time you do it.
I think to get the thing out and replace, it took me few hours. I developed some nice deep scratches on my right forearm, from the replacement too. The oil on forearm was a life saver.
Just some additional thoughts. Let us know what you ended up doing. Thanks.
