Panamera 971 Sports exhaust system with tailpipes

Hello everyone,

First post, I am ordering a 2020 Panamera base, I am thinking if i should put the sports exhaust system on the order, its almost a $4000 option. I tried to find how it sounds like on the internet but coudln't find anything.

Does anyone have the exhaust system on here? Maybe you can give me some input on sports exhaust vs. stock

Thank you so much in advance!

Tough call, not sure you could buy an aftermarket one cheaper. It also depends on what you want it to be like, with these cars you can barely hear the exhaust inside the car anyway. Plus there is also the resale option to have it. I have it on my 2010 turbo, but it’s really not that loud, but I am fine with that.

Thanks for the quick reply, not looking for the loudest, just a little louder and deeper than stock.

I had a F80 M3 with MPE and my wife was furious about it every morning xD.

I'm definitely not an expert but have done some research on sport exhausts including the PSE and aftermarket systems. I believe the PSE might be about the same as "touring" aftermarket systems, which is not much louder than stock. My understanding is the "track" aftermarket systems are more aggressive sounding. An option to consider is a "track" system that allows remote control of the sound level either through a dedicated remote or mobile phone app. I'm getting this type of system installed tomorrow. Again, no expert here but I'll be able to give a direct review shortly.

Thanks for the input, please keep me updated.

PSE is only $2000 more since im getting the black tailpipes for sure, not sure any aftermarket is around that range, most i see are over $4500.

I paid $4,200 (free shipping of 80+ lbs) with carbon tailpipes. Watching install right now.

System installed and am impressed with the aggressive sound especially on start-up. No drone at any speed. No CEL. Remote works well though "neighbor" mode isn't too different than "beast" mode; mostly pitch (higher), not volume. Overall, fantastic.

Having problems airdropping the video as the file is too big even after editing the video. The brand is Armytrix. FYI, although the system was spec'd specifically for PTT (970.2), it required some modifications to fit but did not required welding, etc.

LMAO @ BB. I leave for the office at 5:30 a.m. so it's payback for the neighbor's cat pooping in my yard the last 5 years!

I loved it but when I traded the car the dealer didnt. Guess it can be harder for dealer to CPO with those alterations. Im not sure I will be doing any after market stuff to my 971 TT beyond the removable Sprint Booster
