Do I Move on This 2016 Panamera Turbo S?
I am new to Panamera's and was trying to hold out for a 2017 or newer Turbo but a 2016 Panamera Turbo S from a non-Porsche dealer pooped up for sale. Factory warranty expires on 3/21/20 so I have a few weeks to get into the Porsche dealership to have things checked out. I will then check on some extended warranties from Porsche and also 3rd parties. Has anyone had any major problems with the 2016 Panamera's or have they been pretty stable? This car is highly option. The special order price was $238k back in 2016. It has all the bells and whistles. I can pick it up for $76k. The car has 39k miles. Would you move on this deal? Any reason not to buy this car? I also have an opportunity to purchase a 2016 Cayenne Turbo with 25k miles and CPO'ed from the Porsche dealership for $75k. The Cayenne has the chrono package/premium plus and is highly optioned with the normal cool stuff. Which of the two will hold it's value in 2 or 3 years when its time to trade in?
I wonder what the 2016 Panamera Turbo S would cost at the Porsche dealership CPO'd today? Kelley Blue Book shows it to be worth $100k? Any idea?
Just trying to figure out what the best vehicle to get into. I like both.... Thanks.

As someone who has recently been in your position but with less money to spend, I have a few helpful advice.
First, I think it's a great price. This car has depreciated almost 70% in three years! This is an awesome deal.
Since it is still under warranty, negotiate with the Seller to take it in to the dealer to do a complete inspection. Heck, pay a few hundred dollars if you have to at another Porsche dealer for an unbiased inspection.
The important item that I would be interested to know is the Air Suspension. I want to know if there are any leaks. If there are any leaks, try to knock off at least $4k for repairs.
I think it is a great deal even if you find some issues. Get it!

I have come to realize that I'm going to need to own both the Panamera and a Cayenne.
Buy one now and plan to buy the other at a later time.
If there is snow on the road, I want to take the Cayenne. If they require chains even with snow tires, at least the clearance is easy enough to put the chains on. I would not want to drive with snow chains in a Panamera or 911.
If I'm going to a long drive, I'm taking the Panamera or 911. The Cayenne is a gas hog.
If I'm just commuting, I'll take the 911. The Panamera is too big and bulky in stop and go traffic.

LOL But there's black ice.
I know because I started a chain reaction accident at the entrance to Dallas Lovefield Airport.

If you think about it, it would be a lot safer to drive the Panamera than the Malibu on those days.
I think it really comes down to your preference. Go an test drive both if them and buy the one you like better. I personally start to regret having bought the facelift model, as the gen 1's looks really grow on me.
