I'm more confused now, I had to take off the other door panel to replace the broken pull spring so i swapped the micro switch on the inside handle with the one from the broken side and they both worked on the driver side and neither worked on the passenger side. Is there another one in the latch catch mechanism?

Those crazy things have a mind of their own. Make sure your battery is fully charged. Mine didn't work a few times, I think my battery was low as it was off the trickle. No prob anymore. Who knows lol

Ok did a little more work, pulled of the latch mechanism and found out why it goes bad causing this issue. There is another micro switch on the latch that works on a cam. Its weird but it's a plastic cam and both the plunger and the cam are wore down so when the door closes it doesn't move the switch. New latch it is.

i think slider is the resident expert on the switch and that's beyond my depth, so good on you for figuring it out.

i was just completely confused as i thought that (a) the parts needed are ( were?) the door latches and which i posted, but those were completely different from the other part #'s posted(?)..but the switch is a component part of the latch mechanism i assume...

all i know for sure, is that symptom is cured by replacing the latch mechanism. I've never messed with the switch. hopefully you're got it sorted now though..

So the window micro switch is hidden behind the door handle? This doesn't look like any fun to replace, which I have to do on passenger side.

There are multiple micro-switches inside the latch mechanism. It's really not that hard to get it out and replace the whole thing. Replacing a micro-switch is more complicated. A 10-minute job if you are careful.

It looks like this:

So there is actually 3 of them, 1 behind the inside door pull, 1 on a harness that goes from the latch mechanism to the latch and one that is built into the door latch itself. Not to bad to get to.

update - microswitch replaced, no impact to my window issue (not opening enough when I lift the handle to open the door). Next up is the regulator, PN below from katalog page 211 item 2

996-624-101-05 (coupe, LH)
996-624-102-05 (coupe, RH)

So is RH Passenger and LH Drivers?
