I decided it’s time to start winterizing. I started off with a fresh oil change. I really lucked out and the bypass filter bolts were a breeze to remove. Thanks Rich for the kit. This Monday the weather should be a bit better so I plan to wash her, add the fuel stabilizer, pump up the tires and cover her until spring.
It's good stuff. I had it leftover from my e46 M3 so this was quite the cheap oil change this time around. I have always had positive results with the Liqui Moly products.
This last weekend road 245 on the way to Sequoia National Park. Amazing! I always assume you can easily go 15 to 20mph over what's posted by some curves but this has a few honest 20mph corners. Blasphemy, but don't know if I'd want a stick on this road as you'd be constantly 2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-3-2-3........

Drove out to a turkey farm about 8 miles from the house. Must've been a 100 yard line of people waiting. The police officer stopped traffic so I could parallel park on the side of the road. When I started it up leaving, he gave me a thumb's up and stopped traffic for me to pull out.
I never got so many positive comments and reactions from the police as I have in this car. The Lotus drew some discussion, but the Aston is a law enforcement hit. Whenever I drive by construction crew, the detail offer pretty much always displays a positive reaction. I had them question which model and year. Once I say it is a manual even more respect.
Thanks to Rich at Redpants... Got some new gas struts installed. Tomorrow going to tackle the door struts and change out bulbs in the fender repeaters to clear LED that light up Amber...
Does anyone know if LED bulbs here will throw a code for lights?

Yes, indeed. A few weeks ago, I drove through a construction zone (with stares and grins and thumbs up from workmen on both sides), and when I reached the far end, the flagman started waving his arm and yelling "put the hammer down". Well, I didn't want to disappoint...
Till snow melts and we have a good rain to wash off the streets - now in storage insurance for winter (note the Aston Martin diamond pattern on the bike seat)
Just ordered this Velocity AP twin disc clutch and lightweight flywheel kit for my 09 V8. Excited!! Should be a real improvement. And it will be nice to finally put down the power from the exhaust mods and ECU reflash!
Smoky, Are you going to have Vinnie do your clutch? I'm interested in the before and after feel (I know it has been discussed here A LOT), and how the install goes.

That's a very nice example of the early hand built ones. I enjoyed my S3 for 45k mi.
