Been this way for a while. Only the ads load and the flash banners. Takes about 60-90 seconds for actual page to follow.

 

I think all moving, flashing, dancing ads should be banned.

I agree..ever since the server move this site is way slow..but that one flash ad at the start always seems to load first then the rest of the page is waiting for it to finish before it loads..thats bull! There should be a member option to turn off all the flash and crap and just get the messages and posts.

Possibly, but that would decrease the number of "eyeball views" of the ads and thus gut the site of the value to advertisers and, ultimately, to the owner (IB).

Other sites have a pay-to-eliminate-ads model. If you subscribe, you don't have to endure the ads. Just gives incentive to IB to bury us under ads until we agree to pay. Sort of extortion on the Internet!

Took me 6 minutes to open this thread just now.

I stopped reading newspapers because you have to scroll through 9 pages of ads to get to the one little article. I agree that all banners that have flash or animation should be eliminated.

 

I get the same long delay when I load this page from my office. Flash banner must load first before rest of page loads. That's bogus! When I'm home, however, the page seems to load much faster from my home router/wireless laptop set up. Strange.

 

I'm a paying member at another site that IB bought recently. That sites performance has also slowed. I will not be paying to renew at that site and I'll be making fewer visits to this one I wonder what they are thinking...

That ASR banner is getting on my nerves. Forever looping. As i type this it's flashing/moving around giving me a headache. Need to scroll down to bury it.

Whichever thread it pops up in, seems like it brings the page down to a crawl.

Is it still Internet Brands that is causing the connection drops and other slowness issues?

Ever since yesterday, this has happens to me all the time on this forum.

 

Notice how no one from the management has bothered to answer our concerns but at the top of the page it says "We want your feedback".

 

I guess bitterness equals caring...

IF that's the case does caring equal bitterness?
