Order PCCB or Not

Track Guys,

If you had the choice of a GT3 with the PCCB's or the standard Brembos which would you buy? Consider that I will be attending pretty much all the PCA, PBOC and CHIN events at Sebring and Homestead. So it looks like at least 15 events +.

Thanks in Advance

Absolutely. Significantly less unsprung weight, no fade, and they last forever (well, almost) . . .

i assume hes talking 997 gt3....

Actually, i think its a "fact" jk that those who track extremely hard and often who don't want to dump money in the trash often get steel brakes then either upgrade them or change calipers and pads often. It becomes WOW expensive when you track very often and need to change your ceramics a few times..

could be wrong, but i have a feeling arling 20c4s will be here soon to shed some lights, as he has seen it all

note; might want to try to get the steel brakes first, then upgrade to the brembo GTR kit.... now thats sick

When looking for Porsches to buy, to me, PCCBs are more important than what color the car is

since you are only DEing are you really going to miss that left over unsprung weight? I'd say get the PCCBs, take them off, store them away, and put on some 997 cup brakes...

I'd say to go without the PCCB. Save the $5000-$8000 and put it towards a Brembo GT kit. You'll still end up with an aftermarket kit that saves weight, adds braking power, and the fade resistance you are looking for at the track. With the GT system you are in the realm of hundreds of dollars for replacement discs, rather than the thousands of dollars with PCCB.

PCCB rotors are thousands of dollars! Way over my budget.

I have yet to hear anyone who has the 2nd gen PCCBs who doesn't love them, and wouldn't do it again. I think that speaks for itself.
