First, our gears are pretty tall plus the course wasn't fast enough to warrant 2nd gear. Some people like shifting to 2nd and leaving it there but I like my torques

My car only goes in a straight line now. But my advice would be to drop as much weight and NOT add any more power if you want to stay competitive at autoX. Slow in and quick out.

Seat time and minimize understeer. Serious autoxers try to minimize the tire stagger front to rear. Wider front tires with same or narrower rears. Good luck and have fun!

Very nice! Have you gone to the track? I'd highly recommend it. I really enjoyed autocross back in the day -- but I felt that I just didn't get enough seat time on the same course to really improve my skills (at least the way autocross was run a decade ago). Ironically, I also felt that I was beating the car up more on the autocross course. Both are fun -- I'd suggest trying both and seeing what you enjoy more.
