It was suppose to be assembled. I changed my mind again. Decided to send the stroker crank out to be machined for the NASCAR bearings, stroked a bit more and knife edged. This also required changing the center line of the pistons, so while we were at it we went with larger pistons.

I believe we will be ready to assemble in about two weeks. Not really in any hurry as Spring is more than a few months away.

If I remember reading one of your posts correctly, the NASCAR bearings
are slighly oval. Are they expensive?

Also, IIRC the pistons were 81mm by 104mm, right?
What is the new pistons' size? Your engine size must be getting close to 4.5L
or so.

I had purchased a few sets a couple of years ago. They were only slightly more at the time. The real cost is grinding the crank to accept the 2.0 inch diameter bearings. In our case we used this opportunity to stroke further rather than just grind.

Correct ......... actually I believe it is 104.4 mm.

What is the new pistons' size? Your engine size must be getting close to 4.5L
or so.

The final blueprint for KA's motor.

Case: Spanish case, boat tailed, shuffle pinned, machined for GT1 three index oil pump, machined to accept 12mm studs and designed washers, machined to accept 15.7 mm liners.

Crank: Arrow Precision 80.4 mm billet crank stroked 1 mm to 81.4 mm while fitting for NASCAR oval bearings, knife edged, lightened, cross drilled, micro polished balanced, cryo'ed and nitrated.

Oil Pump: Three index, three individual pickups. GT1 friction coating on all gears.

Rods: Pauter titanium rods designed for stroker lenght, oil dispersant coated. 50.8 mm journal size, 23 mm wrist pin size.

Cams: Single lobe billet cams designed by Performance Development, friction coated. I can't give out exact specs, however the intake seat duration is approx. 285 and exhaust is approx. 295. The intake lift is approx. 0.500 and the exhaust is approx. 0.445.

Tappets: Designed by Performance Developments.

Springs: Designed and made by Performance Development, heat dispersant treated. Titanium retainers, keepers and shims.

Heads: GT3 Cup machined for PD dual combustion chamber 0-rings, ceramic coated combustion chambers and exhaust ports, heat dispersant intake ports, ported to flow 360 cfm @ 25 psi. Heads machined to accept 12 mm studs.

Head Gasket: Designed by PD to provide added deck height for longer stroker rod length.

Liners: Designed and honed by PD, built by Arrow Precision. Extra thick steel walls designed for stroker rod angle pressures, o-ringed.

Pistons: 105.5 mm CP manufactured, design by Scargo Racing for valve clearance/lightness/strength, friction coated skirts, ceramic coated domes.

Yes, we are at the end.

The life depends on duty. Should be good for twenty hours at ***** to the wall or somewhere between 20K-30K miles between rebuilds the way I drive it.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. By "life", I meant when should the car be finished.. Or when will it begin it's life.

The motor should be installed sometime in February/March. ERP in S Calif. still has a lot of suspension parts waiting to be installed.

I just received some news today. Pauter says it will take six weeks to make the new slightly shorter length stroker rods. I guess it is probably pretty good as billet titanium is in short supply and they normally require 10-12 weeks for this type custom rods.

Here is another first. This roots pump (no gears) pulls a vacuum in your case which results in more power.
