they couldn't have at least made it look a bit different? my main complaint about the dymags was that it was ugly...

+ copying a competitors style is lame

I would be $hit scared of running those at 170+, check out the amount of material between the lug holes and center! Sure are lookers though.

I am pretty sure that was a "show" wheel and it was stated it would never make to production due lack of spoke strength.

Just a show wheel. It has been on many posts before.
The center isn't remotely strong enough for a 3500 lb car.
CF works best when stressed in a single direction. Wheel centers don't fit that description. That's why Dymags have an alloy center.

Yes, I know. An alloy is a "combination of two or more metallic elements to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion".
Dymags centers are therefore an "alloy". I did not mean to insinuate that they were aluminum alloy, but technically, most forged magnesium alloys contain aluminum.

This rim could be CF over alloy.
