Fuchs look business, personally think that 930's belong on 16 or 17 inch rims, no 18-19". I love wide Fuchs, also loved my 17" Ruf rims, but they were HEAVY !!

You have MAD skills!

Sorry to hear about your turbo seizing up. Are you going with the same turbo or something different? More videos please

Thanks!

I'm just replacing the brg cartridge and keeping the turbo at this point. It's brand new, so it should be fine once cleaned up and the cartridge is replaced. The failure was prolly caused by one of two things; something blocked the small oil inlet orifice allowing the brgs to fry or there was junk/dirt in the brgs from the supplier. It's a bullet proof Garret BB turbo, but was assembled by a third party distributor. I prolly should have torn it down before installing it to ensue all was well, but upon inspection outta the box it seemed good to go freely spinning and no play...

I'll post up more videos ASAP

Update

Just as we were ready to dyno it the new turbo's brgs went South

The turbo oil feed line, yes the one with a restrictor fitting, got blocked and turbo overheated smoking the brgs and causing major damage. Garrett has it now for a full rebuild and yes the restrictor fitting will be TOSSED when the turbo is reinstalled

Damn...that really sucks. I'm no expert, but it seems misplaced to have a restrictor fitting anywhere on a turbo oil line.

Hope the new one is bullet-proof.

restrictors are recommended on Garrett Ball-Brg turbos cuz they want oil sprayed on the brgs, not swimming in it, but my new set will be swimming
