Cool Need some guidance

Looking for some expert opinions. I have been looking for a 91 thru 94 911 Turbo for quite sometime now. It has been a difficult task being that I'm in Canada and there is not a whole bunch to choose from. I'm kind of leaning towards a black on black car, but that is about the only color that I have seen in person so I may be bias. Do any of you guy's know of any clean well priced cars out there ? I would also like to know what the i switch does on the centre console ? There was a car up here but the i Light on the dash was illuminated and when i flicked the switch it only went off briefly and illuminated again what's with that ? Any help will be appreciated.

The "I" switch resets any of the warning lights like "seat belt".

What would you think a 91 965 Turbo imported from Europe with 120,000 km would be worth ( Approx 75,000 miles) Any idea ? Or would you suggest trying to find something with lower Kilometres

I think there are too many in the states for you to go through the trouble of shipping from europe. I think an average one like the one you mention should be in the mid 30's USD.

91-92? I looked at one in fla two weeks ago with 48k on the clock and we agreed on 36. he was asking 42. AC needs work, front bumper needs spraying, rock guards need replacing. Current owner since 4000 miles. All records. Did you see the red one on ebay that went for 42.5? It was incredible! Far superior than anything outside of RPM inventory. They are certainly out there. Asking price and selling price are very different.

Was that the White one that you looked at ? What was the overall condition in your opinion ? It was very hard to tell from the photos that I seen of it.
What do you guy's think of the 94 with 85k miles ? At the end of the day I have to factor in the taxes, the exchange rate, a complete inspection on top of the purchase price?

Yeah! He mentioned a serious buyer from Canada. It is a great car for 36. I was just so pissed after driving down there (10 hours eachway) that I, and my friends, were total dicks to the seller when we saw the condition of the car. Felt bad later on about it and apologised. Anyway the car was dirty as hell and far from excellent as he portrayed it, but has a lot of potential.

The rims need work/replaced and I have never seen a 965 turbo that had the black rockers so chipped up. It looked like it had been beat to hell on the track, but the guy definitely does not track the car, so I was at a loss to the cause. needs new clear fender protectors on the rear fenders. the front bumper has been painted once before and not done very well, so it needs to be redone. expect 1500 to get the A/C working again. The car also had at least 2 quarts too much oil in it. He got mad when i pointed that out. had to show him how to check the oil. he still didn't believe us since he had been taking it to a Porsche dealer for service. In all of the receipts I never saw anything mentioning a valve adjustment. I doubt it has been done ever! The engine was wet..but not too bad. that extra oil has to go somewhere. no smoking on start up when cold or hot.

the car has a ton of potential, but it is going to take a little time to get it where i would be happy.

I think the black one with 83k is too high. I love it and would pay 48 for it just for the color combo. there was a very nice one on Pelican with the same mileage that sold for 43. Check out the black one on ebay. the seller is on rennlist and willing to talk about the car.

Good luck.

Which Black one are you referring to? There are two 91's and a 94.
