Correct. I'm waiting for those upgraded much larger housings which will boost power a nice amount over turbos operating in the stock housings. I still won't be as fast as Nigel's car as there's no way I'm putting in meth but I certainly hope to break into the 170s in the half mile with those turbos.

And I want the warranty.

 

Champion does not have a set release date. When they come out my car will probably be one of the first to get them.

BBI is definitely one of the places I would've taken my car in your situation for a big build.!?

 

Not too much whp from them vs the stock housings, but is a nice piece if it came with the "packg"

 

It will yield better flow and a nice power boost. Sam is getting them too from what I understand.

 

No meth?? You don't have to use it every day. Use it during track events. I got 30hp with meth.

I do understand the safety net warranty...

I daily drive my car sometimes. I value keeping the front trunk as it is. Not willing to bear the additional risk of meth either. But there's no question that meth injection does wonders for performance

Just wanted to clarify a few things. We have had upgraded 65mm VTG's for about a year. We've also been testing and had our 68mm VTG's (in the stock housings) for about 6 months as well.

However, we made the decision not to release our "package" for the 991 Turbo until we received that upgraded compressor housings that we've been working on for about 6 months with Tial.

I know that others have released both the existing 65mm and 68mm turbos, but we chose not to. As for when we're releasing the new housings, I can happily say it will be very very soon.

Do you know anyone that has the new housings? I'm curious how you came to that conclusion? Do you know someone that has them on their car already?

We will be testing the first set next week. From experience we know what's going to happen in theory. It's not going to be night and day but there will be some benefits. We have already achieved our goals as a package in the stock housing after lots of hard work and calibration. I've made it clear to everyone of my customers that they will have access to this cover and any adjustments necessary to appreciate it's affects once it's available and verified. As usual we will move fast with a strong team. I'm just very happy that we have a wonderful solution for those who want the stealth set up. And I still heart you too Tom
