Silly NOOB ? -- Passenger Seatbelt warning?

I'm a Porsche NOOB. 10 days and 1000 miles.

And yes, I have searched the forum for this already...

Yesterday when my wife and I got home from the grocery story she said, "I just realized I didn't have my seatbelt on the whole time." We never heard any warnings.

All of our other car would have beeped at her.

Does the 991 not mind when front-seat passengers don't buckle up, or is it some issue with my car? I noticed that the passenger seat belt receiver still has a barcode type sticker on it -- I assumed it was incomplete dealer prep, but maybe something else?

Thanks!

Dealer prep is what it sounds like to me.

Ok, thanks.

Just to clarify... are you saying that the 991 does not provide a warning if the front seat passenger does not buckle?

No, I'm thinking the dealer didn't set it up correctly.

Interesting. Is that something the dealer typically sets up? I would have assumed it came from the factory set that way. I'll have to check with the dealer.

Thanks, again.

Can't the seat belt warning / passenger side airbag be disables by the dealer for use with a front seat child carseat?

Maybe it is configured that way?

You can change the sound level in vehicle settings. If it was set at the lowest setting you might not hear it.
