991 ECM Fault, PSM Failure

Two week old 991 S in for the third time with ECM Fault, PSM Failure, Start/Stop disabled error messages.

Been diagnosed as mis-fire issue and attributed to fuel quality issues incurred during shipment.

I've searched and have not found any reports of similar issues. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Mis-fires will trigger all the other alerts you are seeing too, nothing surprising there. Is your car completely stock?

Completely stock - less than 300 miles on the car. Problem started the day after delivery.

It does not sound like a lemon issue as much as a material breach of the agreement of sale. Hire a lawyer

This happened to my car also. It was in the garage for a few day as it was snowing outside. I started it up and as it ran rough for a few seconds the warnings noted above flashed. I turned the car off and then restarted and the car ran smoothly with no warnings. The next day the car ran flawlessly for the 50 of miles drive.

I checked and there was nothing noted in the information screen.

While I will have the dealer check it I'm thinking the car just has a brain fart and the restart cleared whatever was the problem. Car is fueled with Sunoco or Exxon 93 octane is completely stock and has had no other issue in 10850 miles. A dream to drive.

As this car is computer dependent I'm thinking that some code didn't load properly. The restart was like a reboot of a pc

I have to bring in my car tomorrow to get this checked out what pist me off is that I have only 100 miles on the car and having this issue and I driving Down to fla on Sunday from Ny , so hopefully it's a quick fix at the service department .. Beside these two miner issues the car runs great and can't wait to get on I-95 in Florida and enjoy the weather and the drive..

Good luck, hopefully it's only a glitch.

In California we only get 91 as highest octane!

Rnl: you should get yours checked regardless. It might be a sporadic issue with the engine that may get exacerbated later.

Can't believe I'm reading this here too. Had just posted in this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post3804665

Looks like this has been happening to a handful of very new, very low mileage cars. And all for different causes it seems. Just happened to me. Just my **** luck.

Give the dealer a chance to fix it first. I have had a couple of faults but the dealer investigated and took care of it. No issues since.
