Let me try asking this in a different way.
If any of you have an apple iPod hooked up to your PCM through the USB connector, could you try a quick search for artists and let me know if the PCM goes through the alphabet in order, or does the "T" show up after "B" instead of after "S". That is what mine is doing and the dealer blames it on Apple.

I am curious to know if everyone using an Apple device has the same issue.

I know it isn't a BIG deal but it's kind of annoying.

That's because in the German alphabet the T comes after the B....

No just kidding... I've read about this issue on other topics and on other forums. Probably just a bug in the software, either from Apple or Porsche and maybe even depending on the selected language or country? I don't have that issue, but that's a Boxster, so I assume that software is different.

 

On my system the word "The" is ignored. Hence "The Eagles" will appear after D.

 

Maybe you can find it under 'se eagles'. This can be a problem with se germans before.

I think that's the way it should work, but not putting the "T" our of order in the search mode. That makes no sense

 

What I can't stand is that the song order within an album is alphabetical as OPPOSED to the order on the album/iPod! What's up with this?

Fact is that navigating through the entire music system still seems so antiquated. It really isn't very intuitive or user friendly.
