GIAC Software is Now Available For the 991 Carrera S!

After much anticipation, GIAC is pleased to announce that software is available for the 991 Carrera S platform. With this software upgrade comes increased performance, coupled with factory levels of drivability.

On GIAC's Mustang dyno, power increases were measured at:

- Peak gains of 10 wheel horsepower and 12 wheel torque on 91 octane
- Throughout the powerband, gains as high as 20 wheel horsepower and 25 wheel torque were measured

These performance increases are accomplished through software only. Additional increases will be observed with additional hardware and/or higher octane fuel.

A special thanks to Champion Motorsport for the many hours spent remote tuning and testing with GIAC's engineers.

It seems the max HP and Tq are slightly lower than other stock graphs I've seen. Is it due to 91 octane, aftermarket exhaust or the type of dyno? Other stock 991S seem to be putting about 350hp at the wheels.

Can you PM me the price? Also, is there an option (within the tune) to turn off the CEL due to my high flow cats? For some reason my 200 cell cats trigger the 02 sensors to complain... Thanks!

Mustang Dynos read low... octane will play a light role but our engines are not F/I where octane has a greater impact. I like the peak gains but whats more important are the sweet spot lower rpm gains in tq and hp to me...

We utilize a load-bearing Mustang dyno. Numbers are typically more conservative than if you used an inertia based dyno, but are much more indicative of actual street power.

Port flash? Bench flash? Specific programs for 91 or 93 octane?

Let me know. We would like to start flashing immediately.

Always a pleasure working with the guys at GIAC and helping develop new products. The 991 Carrera and Carrera S software sure was a challenge, but the result is well worth it!

Just yesterday alone, we flashed 3 991 S's....and every owner was thrilled with the car afterwards!

I've been waiting to jump on this bandwagon Does GIAC know someone here in WA state or Oregon that is overly, amazingly qualified to flash my precious baby? I take it a manual transmission wouldn't be a problem?

thanks

PM'd. We have the software available for the manual transmission, so no issues there.

Apparently they need to pull the ecu and send to giac, just discovered. As my 991 is my DD, that's a non starter for me to leave my car somewhere for however long it takes. Oh well. Good job anyway guys
