Yet another reason to garage the 991

Ice storm resulted in 75 foot ash tree falling onto my deck and roof and into my kitchen bay window. Pine tree fell onto my ancient van. Maple tree limb destroyed my mailbox and neighbors removed the tree.
The Porsche is in the garage. The honda generator is running right behind it - as we have no power.
How many days until spring?

The ash tree hit the window three feet from the kitchen table where I was reading the paper - tempered glass everywhere. My parrot freaked out and flew to the other side of the house
The pine tree just missed me by 5 minutes as I had just passed by there to check the levels on the propane tank for the backup heater. The maple lost it branch a few minutes before I returned with a full gas can for the generator
It's like my trees are out to get me. It sort of like The Birds with branches instead of feathers.
I'm ok and just important the Porsche is clean and undamaged.

Oh, and the insurance company was called.

Wow! From the picture of your kitchen bay window, it looks like not all the glass was tempered -or properly tempered-. Someone could have been seriously hurt!

Glad everyone is safe. We have a bunch of tree limbs down at our place. The 991 is in the garage. But my poor 993 is outside. I've moved it once already so it's clear of potential tree limbs falling on it.
Hope we get power back soon...we're imposing on some good friends for showers, internet and electricity.

today I drove over a ton of icy-snowy mixture. Praying that the underbelly panels aren't scratched all to Hades. At least the snow/ice has some give to it, not like a curb. But hey no accidents. ugh
