Pulled the trigger..

After searching for a while for a used 911 c2s, I've decided to pull the trigger on a new order. There just wasn't enough of a difference in price to buy a used 2012 model.

Here's what I ordered.

2014 carrera s
Rhodium silver
Carrera s wheels in platinum
Front and rear parking sensors
PDK
Sports chrono
Sports exhaust
Sports design wheel w/ paddles
Mats

Once it arrives I will get it tinted and fit an xpel clearbra.

After seeing lebreezes pics I knew that's the colour combo I wanted.

So, a pretty simple setup but I suspect the Aussie 911's come loaded with quite a bit more standard kit than in the US.

After many BMWs this will be my first Porsche.

Now the agonizing wait...

Congrats..

+1 on the difference in price on used vs new.. For all the talk about the huge depreciation hit.. I could never find a low mileage year old 911 of any flavor that I wanted..

I think my best bet down that route for saving money, would have been to find a last years model that was leftover or a demo... But then when I looked at that the pickings can get pretty slim... sure a great deal but nothings a great deal if you don't love it.. Not paying 100K for something that I don't lust after..

Yeah the second I write that there are 20 people ready to tell how they found what they wanted with a used with 11 miles on it...and for 30% under MSRP.. But for me I never saw a gap that was worth it to me...

Congrats on the order. Excellent spec, and good luck with the wait (no way around it, it is agonizing).

The pickings for used are very slim here in Aus. I wish they were $100k here though (more than double). I suspect I will keep this one for a while but we'll see, I can't seem to hold onto cars longer than 2 yrs!

It's good to hear that Bimmer owners love the new 911. That's the part I wasn't sure about as I do like my M3, I'm hoping the 911 takes it to the next level.

Another +1 on the new. I live in Vancouver BC and the used pickings around here are virtually non existent. And the ones that are available are missing far too many options I would consider musts for me. You are already spending an obscene amount of money. - 10-20% this way or that day is not worth the compromise on what you want in a vehicle of this caliber. Congrats and enjoy!

Does Porsche do euro deliveries for its US customers? I'd love to do it but I'm fairly certain they don't do it for us Aussies. I'm guessing their reasoning is related to RHD.
