Roll Call - 996 Tiptronic Owners
NO, but he needs to strip her down and get it over with. He'll wait a LONG time trying to sell a modded tip for that price..
+1 it will be tough to get that price.
Hi Alex, no update form me sorry.
I was hoping some one would have had cooler mods done.
I think a temp probe in the box would b a good idea and some readings taken. Standard driving versus spirited driving. It would be a total waste of time to go to all the effort of larger coolers if the box didn't overheat unless on the track. Nice to know in general and have a permanent box temp gauge??
At the moment I can only assume my driving style will not overheat a box but, you know what they say about assume ...it will make an *** out of U and ME.

Hi Alex, yep, I have to admit I have been dragging my feet on this and should have done it by now. I really want to do it on a ramp and not axle stands, will have a chat with my friendly garage.
I will be looking for a Temp probe to fit permanently as well. So will do that first. Deamon Tweeks will be my "first port of call" and see if they have anything. I recon from your link earlier 100deg to 300deg should do it, anything around 300 deg or just lower will be bad so no need to monitor further IMO?? Slow down and alow to cool off.

Alex said his Tip would appear to be best on Porsche ATF so I think ( seeing you dont change the fluid that often) I will use the Porsche OEM stuff as well. Probably more expensive but changing at 20,000 will still not be expensive over time.

Still waiting on my turbos...poor engine is sitting at my mechanics waiting for the 24/18gs.
I think he is done with the other work (intake piping, plenum, TB, y-pipe) and were going to gut the 100-cel cats in my agency exhaust.
I already have my new tune base file...hopefully the turbos come in soon!
