I've noticed that on my 996tt, when I leave it parked in the sun on a hot summer day, I get an occasional microphone feedback like sound from the driver's side dash area.

It usually happens on a very hot day whenever the car tilts back like under heavy accelleration/going up a driveway or when I shut off the car.

Has anyone ever experienced this or know what it may be?

Could be the radio........or a Beattle old song

My nephew's Cayman S had that problem and it was the radio.

 

one of my x cars did the same thing, it only happened after about 5min of shut off... once i shut the car off i'm gone so it may have done it all the time.... think it was the computer

 

I thought it was coming from the speakers but it does it with the radio off too. It's not the smartphone interference either. It's a loud squeal like feedback from a microphone or a like brakes squeal even when I'm not on the brakes. Any other ideas?

If it was the radio, woult it do it with the radio off also?

 

Yes it did with the radio off also but not that loud and went away in a while when the car was off,but when turn the keys back on again there it was the noise and louder.

He took off a fusil that says radio and the noise went off completly.The speakers didn't work but the radio did.He has to take the car to the dealer.He thinks it started when he added an IPOD to the music sistem,but not sure yet.

 

I'll pull the radio fuse see if that does it.
