Random Boost Issues?

So I have the gt610 Evoms Kit with EvomsIt.
Randomly, 1st gear pulls 1.3bar up high, 2nd gear does the same and then third gear cuts off at .9bar and car hit a wall and continues to increase speed but no longer pulls nearly as hard as it should.
Couple stop lights later, 3rd gear pulls fine with no issues.
I would think it was tuning if it did it all the time but it's random.
Car has stock intercoolers and only has whatever the gt610 kit came with.
Any ideas? What is most likely going on?

I take it you bought the car like this? If so then it could a bunch of things...
one is car running too much boost for the fuel your using... thus its pinging... car dumps fuel and pulls timing to protect itself.. result is loss of huge power..
ALso, car can have the 1.3 bar cut off and then it goes into limp mode...
you can have boost leaks, bad fuel, ruptured F hose, etc etc etc...

so if you bought the kit from Evoms, do a datalog and send it to them.. ask them to took at it... logs tell a big story...

I am hopefully going to datalog tomorrow and will be in contact with Evo as well.
Local shop is telling to me to go GIAC instead.

Good on the first part...
local shop wants to make money on you... bad on the second part...
How does local shop know what is wrong with your car? It may not be programming at all... then what? you just spent another $2500.
be smart and find the right people to talk to...
did you buy the car like this or did you have the kit put on?

Classic.

They trust what they know, and blame what is unfamiliar.

This is why I always say "first decide who is doing your install/troubleshooting"... "then pick the vendor they can work with"

Makes sense. I mean. That is why I am going to data log it first then we shall know what's going on. I am not keen on spending money on new software if it's not needed.
I bought the car with the kit.
I guess all I can hope is that the data log shows what's going on and it's easy to see and fix

So I spoke to EvoMS. They said to tighten my wastegates. They feel that I should not be boosting over 1.3bar and they think that in third I am trickling over 1.3bar with conditions being ideal and cutting off.
So I am going to have my wastegates tightened.

WRONG,
you should be loosening them up so you don't trigger the 1.3 bar....
And I strongly suggest someone doing it that has done it before...
but before all that datalog the car ... rpm, engine load, ignition angle, actual lamda- oxygen sensing bank 1 and 2, and boost pressure of sensor...
do a 3rd gear run... form 2000 rpms to 6700 ... its like getting a blood test.. without that your presicribed doctors( shops) can guess all they want...
Better yet have a boost leak test, a turbo inspection looking for failure and at at the same time check the WGs.... you do all that and your car will run right... in the end you may spend the money wrong and be back here looking for help... Ive seen your situation many times... ironically most guys dont listen and come out with with huge bills which in the end could have been prevented and that money spent on fine bottle of wine and date...
good luck,
markski

Thanks Markski

Sorry, I meant to say loosen them.
Before I do that we are going to data log the car.
Thanks for all the info Markski, it is very helpful and that will be my guide to what the shop should be checking for.
