my recent acquire 996TT is in the shop with Robert at Final touch

Hi Guys:

I recently purchase a 996TT and would like to bring the car to a prestine condition. I dropped the car off to Robert at Final Touch today to do some respray. I will be painting the rims as well as brake calipers.

Robert suggest that I paint the Turob Twist in Gunmetal and have the calipers painted Yellow. I would like to get your guys opinion of what do you think of this color combo?

Should I stick with the original Color or should I go with Yellow Calipers and Gunmetal rims.

By the way, my car is Artic Silver. Any opinion of pictures (if u have any in this color combo would be appreciated)

Let me know what do you think.

Thanks

I go back an forth on this.

I like the stock color enough to leave them alone. I am considering picking up a second set and painting them black.

If you know you are going to paint them ... go for it.

I prefer Black versus Gunmetal though.

Hadn't considered the calipers, my first instinct is to leave them red ...

I like both gunmetal and black wheels. Calipers I would leave red unless you want to pose as having ceramics...

I painted my wheels GT Silver Metallic, which is what comes on the 2005 Turbo S. It's not quite gunmetal, but it's not the bright silver either.

I have no opinion on what you do to your car as far as the color goes. Almost anything goes with silver IMO and almost anything will look equally good. Except for maybe that lime green actually...whomever that is, sorry: (. Anyways, to my point, whatever you do decide to do. As far as the steps made and things changed from current condition to pristine condition, make sure you document with pictures before and after pictures. It makes the subject much more interesting and its cool to see the transformation. Thanks!

Any colour is good if it works for you, but don't be a poser - anything BUT yellow for the calipers.
