I just looked though this thread again and it's clear a lot of the information posted by the OP in this thread are not correct. This is where everyone is getting confused, namely with the orientation of the center radiator outlets. The best I can tell, B4stiTTS has the center radiator mounted correctly with the outlets at the bottom so I'm not sure why everyone is telling him to flip it. There is absolutely no cutting and or splicing of any water lines required in any form or fashion. I'm not sure why the OP did that or why others are telling him to do so.

The TT Center Radiator Outlets are normally on the Top, the GT2 ones on the bottom. From all the existing posts my understanding was that you not just have to tilt the Center rad., also you have to flip it. So I flipped it, but then you can't install the OEM GT2 water line, also not with cutting and shortening, it will be bended too much. Only way is too replace all the hardlines and convert fully to GT2 lining(Or cut the water lines and connect them with a connector Piece).
Easiest way is just too tilt the Radiator(Outlet on the Top like OEM) with the new GT2 or modified TT brackets, take the GT2 waterline, cut and adjust it(Or cut the OEM TT water lines and connect them with a connector Piece).
This will be my way for the Moment, want to get it done and maybe modify it in the future
Thx for all your helpful replies

This is correct. The 996tt hoses are on the top which will get in the way when you try to install a factory GT2 upward facing outlet duct. Here is a diagram showing the 996tt radiator hose orientation. As long as your hoses are on the bottom you should be good.
Installed the Center Radiator like OEM GT2 Setup, shortened the OEM GT2 water lines and it's working fine. Only way to go, other position is not working
Another questions regarding the Center Air Outlet, is this misalignment from Center Air Duct to Center Air Outlet grill normal? During Installaation everything was matching and looking nice, maybe somebody has some Pictures, couldn't find anything in the web
i had to notch my ductwork for the solenoid for the frunk latch. drilled a hole the size of the solenoid so the panel could sit flatter and line up better

I have also been curious about the alignment. I never found pictures showing the vent to duct alignment. What I do know is the 996 cup has upward vented center radiator that is is just open without directed ducting. So while the goal would be to match factory GT2 ducting alignment, i am not entirely sure it is critical.
I also think that it is ok for the function, just not looking perfect like Porsche normally doing it. Will check it and disassemble everything again
Another question, this Air duct lining for the Underbody has to be installed also with GT2 Front bumper? 996.575.961.00 for the X50 Option and so on
Does not get installed with the GT2 bumper. That is the turbo lower radiator outlet duct. The GT2 factory bumper will interfere with that piece unless modified. The bumper closes off the bottom vent in lieu of an upper vent.
in tried to getb some decent pics but its so dark in there its almost impossible. but here goes.
the first pic is were i drilled a hole to allow the front trunk sensor connector to allow the duct to sit flat against the front framework. see how flat and even it now sits and allows full air to flow up and pout over the hood
if you need it ill try to shine a brighter flashlight into the opening and get a better pic

I would like some better lit pictures if you could. Specifically showing the duct and the lock mechanism area. I will be addressing some of these areas when I switch from aftermarket GT2 replica bumper to OEM.

heres a few about the best i can get. you can see in the last pic how the duct would be forced out against the plug if the hole wasnt drilled in it

Thx, I was thinking the Same and the Front bumper underpanel has a Different shape. But the oem part List was saying that the duct is for modfied stronger motors with 450 and 462 hp, so for my mind also GT2
Ive done this conversion recently, but there was frankly no way that i wanted to pay for the inflated GT2 water hose prices, so i figured Porsche would have some the same - somewhere. Turns out they do, so i bought the 997 Turbo centre rad hoses instead and trimmed them down to fit. They cost about 30 quid each. probably a bit of an unknown hence the much lower price. These were spliced direct to the existing hard pipes and straight to the centre rad. I even kept my horns in the original position. Hope it helps someone else.
I'm revisting everything I wrote some 9 years ago and I'm curious what I "DIDN'T do" right. My car was a fully functioning GT2 conversion, but I was at the mercy of what was available at the time. I worked closely with Suncoast Porsche to get available parts, but one thing we opted not to do back then was the radiator mounts were an issue and on back-order with no estimated delivery date during that time if my memory serves me correctly. I'm certain that the parts and sourcing have been alleviated over the years, but back in 2011, this was the first fully functioning OEM conversion the community was aware of.
