I've been Diagnosed---Mod Progression Syndrome...

Well, I've officailly been diagnosed with Porsche Modifier Progression syndrome !
It all started with a simple 997 SSK. Then progressed to a new double din navigation head unit. Then progressed to Focal speakers and custom sub enclosures w/ 10' JL W3's. Then 997 GT2RS IC's....And then finally------
Full turbo upgrade!
My white beauty just got some New K16 billets w/ adjustable wastegates. Simen 60lb injectors, Sachs racing clutch, ported headers. GT2 spark plugs and a GIAC tune w/ file switcher.

Car is still in the shop and waiting to get flashed on Monday. I'll report back next week. Here are just a few pics.

I hope you have an upgraded clutch too...because if you don't you'll likely need one soon!

*EDIT* Poor reading comprehension owns me! I see you got a Sachs unit...smart!

I have the same disease. Powerful forces are at work. Just let go and enjoy the ride. You only go around once.

Actually, it was my clutch slipping that spurred this whole conversion. My expert mentioned that my clutch actually looked good upon pulling it. Perhaps it was the pressure plate, or something else that was causing my slippage. Regardless, I would have need a new clutch with any additional power adders.

It's hard to resist. I thought I'd just leave mine alone, but slowly but surely, the mod bug is creeping up on me too. Shtfrbrains is right; just go with it, you only get this chance once.

It is such a thoroughly enjoyable if not thrilling experience to go through the process of finding, selecting, and executing a really cool, baddass mod! I have a couple in particular that I just love every time I look and drive. The first was the SQS sequential shifter. It's so serious looking, and works magnificently. Next was the MCS (Moton) suspension. The difference is amazing, and the reservoirs mounted on the roll cage uprights just look sick! Then there is the sound of the GMG catless X-pipe exhaust. I never even turn on the radio because it interferes with my enjoyment of the real music.

I bought new wheels recently, and spent a long time researching and learning about all that is available and how they stack up. The whole process is just fun, and in the end you make the car uniquely yours.

Sounds like the Progressive Mod sydrome has effected you nicely With regards to the music, I sometimes get annoyed by the drone of my exhaust and have to switch it up a bit with some tunes. But to each there own. I want it all, lol!

Thanks! I'm liking my setup at the moment. The only thing that is bugging me a bit is that I have no Mid-Range. The car has GT3 door panel thus eliminating the door speakers. I may be looking to trade my black door panels with some who wants the weight savings vs. speakers. What do you think?
