So, after being called a ***** by too many people after starting my K24/18g thread, I'm now thinking about going down the GT30 + Meth route

So with that in mind, who's got a stealthy meth set-up they want to share details of?

I've seen the DIY thread that's been posted, and I'll be following that for the most part

But, I don't want to have a meth tank taking up space in the front trunk

Has anyone experimented with different places for the meth tank?

I'm thinking either below the false floor in the trunk, or in the battery compartment with a lightweight battery could be two options

Are there any issues with these locations? And has anyone come up with anything else I should consider?

 

I've seen people use the windshield washer fluid tank as a meth tank -good for stealth and it sits low -Shokwaverider's awesome DIY used this location I believe. I would avoid putting the tank higher than the nozzles as a check valve or solenoid failure could allow siphoning and subsequent hydraulic damage to the motor.

 

SWRs DIY is a good source for install. You can also use the stock windshield washer tank - not 100% practical in a daily. Problem with doing a false floor is you want the tank to stand upright to prevent slushing around as that will trip the level sensor.

let me ask why do you care what others think of your build? if the k24/18 is the best route for what you want to do with the car then by all means do it. im searching for a 996tt to either buy modded or to mod. my personal goal is about 550 rwhp. thats no were near the fastest aout there but ill bet you lunch it will get me to the scene of the accident first!!
dont bend to peer pressure build the car the way it suits you best. just my .02
