Not much, under $400. Used replacement headlight

will be around 3-4 times that ... I will either have to live with it how it is, try and fix it myself, or find someone else willing to try and polish the lens.

A used replacement would still need to be painted in order to match the other one. I'm kind of in a tough spot.

Obviously there are legal options.

Its not that big a deal now, pretty small spot. Sucks they screwed up your headlights. Seal it up and drive it for a while, in 6 months open it back up polish and reseal. Nobody will notice it but you

Also think at this point you should be posting up who the company is to stop others. Simply refunding your money is a bull**** resolution to the issue.

I can still see some hazing towards the bottom left as well. Have not decided what I'm going to do at this point. Maybe I'll request a hi-res pic, with less reflection.
That's exactly how my lights look. I'm definitely going to remove the lense and poslish the inside myself.

Tell them to keep the lights and get you new ones. I can't remember the legal term but I think, if they can not put it back to its original condition, they have to replace them with new ones.

Whatever the term is... doesn't hold water in this case. The guys have signed a waiver clearing "the company" to modify the existing headlights and any modifications are irreversible.

Once I post a DIY on the process of taking the light apart and reassembling it, this process should be fine. We will just need to make sure that when the housing is taken to the paint shop, that it is given plenty of time to cure before reassembly.

This is what I'm dealing with. Most recent email exchange. Top is the most recent. So they have had my headlight for 7+ weeks, and have done nothing. At this point I think they are concerned about legal action, are hesitant to disclose anything. Apparently my headlight has magically improved or they are just wearing me down. What a joke.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Let's try this again.

Have you done anything to the headlight since I shipped it back ?

If NO, why are you sending me pictures stating it looks better ?

If YES, what was done ?

No, we haven't done anything to the lens because we didn't want to risk making it worse.

Thank you and have a great day!

So confused, so you essentially have done nothing with my headlight and it has just been sitting for almost 2 months ? You stated in your email that is looked better, what process did you perform to make it look better ? Jedi power ?

Hi Jonas,

All I have to take pictures with is my iPhone. I have attached 2 more pictures. We didn't do anything to the lens because of the risk of making it worse.

Thank you and have a great day!

There is allot of reflection, it's really hard to tell the haze from the reflection. First thoughts are that the upper right looks fairly rough. Can you send a couple of hi-resolution pics, possibly with less reflection ?

Can you tell me what process was used to remove the haze ?

Thanks.

Hi Jonas,

I spoke with my manager and she said we can refund your money for the work we performed. It would be a complete refund of $299. Please see attached for a picture of the hazing, it looks like it has gotten better in my opinion.

Thank you and have a great day!

Prior email on 2/22 clearly states that they DID try and repair it ... Unbelievable. The scratch they rarely even comment on, they scratched the inside of the lens during reassembly. I have a good case here. Is it worth the hassle is the question.

I was actually about to email you. The tech went in and tried to fix the hazing, but nothing worked. And the scratch that is on the side of the headlight is actually on the lens.

Thank you and have a great day!

No, we have not done anything to your headlight since it has come back. In my opinion the hazing looks a little better than when we first got it in. I don't know why or how the hazing got better over time. Would you like us to refund you the $299 and send the headlight back to you?

Thank you and have a great day!
