Right wiper not working - Advice?

The passenger wiper doesn't move on my 996TT. It went from working fine, to working intermittently to not working at all.

Before I tear into it and see what I find, I thought there might be obvious advice.

I have no clue how it works, so any advice is welcome!

Without going outside to my car and exposing the wiper hardware there are two possible things (at least) to check.

The wiper arm is loose on the shaft and while the shaft rotates the wiper arm doesn't follow.

If the shaft doesn't turn and if the if the non functioning wiper shaft is driven by the other wiper via some connecting link the link has come loose or broken.

Remove the battery cover. Remove the left cover over the clutch reservoir. Look at the condition of the linkages on the wiper motor. I suspect the linkage going to the right side being disconnected from the wiper motor. See picture....You can also start the wiper operation and look at the movement. Warning do not operate on dry windshield also be careful not to have the wiper away from windshield if you open the bonnet. The arms will contact and damaged the paint....

Most likely it is the bolt loose on the wiper.
