Boost issue... 0.5bar max sometimes, after warm it will boost to 1.1

I've been noticing that in the first 20 min of driving.. no matter how much I gun it, the boost drops off at a steady 0.5bar... and then in about 20 min of driving it becomes beast mode 1.1 bar EVERYTIME I floor it...

Giac tune.

Is there a reason for this? Any obvious things I should look at? No codes, no CEL.

I think there is something in the tune that will not allow it to boost fully until warmed up?

I'm assuming that you're not going WOT before the fluids are up to temp. With that said, maybe some really weird kind of major boost leak that seals itself once the engine bay comes up to temp?

Def not going WOT without atleast driving 10 miles.. I wasn't sure if there could be a boost leak that could seal itself after warm.. I will have to look into that.

Never replaced coils, plugs are on my DIY list very soon. Why would I need to replace coils if there were no CELs or misfires?

Would worn plugs cause boost issues?

sure. and/or misfires. coils same. tuned tt's are asking more of the components. they sometimes wear faster. esp plugs, i would think.

I was having some inconsistent boost response similar to what you are describing. Occationally it wouldn't exceed .4-.5 bar, and then all of a sudden it would punch through to 1.5bar. I figured it was a sticky wastegate acutator. They are under the car, behind the tires and they unfortunately get a lot of grime on them. I got under my car (when cold) and moved the wastegates by hand. The driver side actuated smoothly, and the pass side had some more resistance and a little squeaky noise. I simply sprayed some WD-40 into the bushings and worked it in a bit by actuating the wastegate. Now I have a consistent .9-1bar of boost every time, it seems to have solved my problem.

So I'd say get under there and check your wg's, its easy enough.
