MadeThe Move To K16/16g Billets From Tony At EPL
I have this same setup and im not having maf issues. Tony scales the maf for his tunes. Go get a brand new maf brand new stock air filter and a set of bosch 710n diverter valves and youll be good. If you want faster spool you need inlet pipes immediately. I spool 800rpms quicker with USP inlet pipes and an AP y pipe. My car feels NA no lag
I might need a bigger Y pipe with my 18g set-up and EVO inlet pipes then.
when i spoke with tony about the hitachi maf he was not a fan of using a maf from an 80's model ford ranger.
again by not doing a proper log your sending incomplete info to your tuner. why do you feel you cant run the car to redline because of the weather?
having JUST gotten the car to run properly your going to dig in again and change parts without fully getting the INITIAL TUNE dialed in?keith this is why you are having so much trouble. slow down learn were your car is now and move forward.

I have been trying not to post, but I can't stand it...I wanna jam a pen in my eye when I read this...PLEASE STOP TRYING TO ADD OR CHANGE PARTS UNTIL YOU GET EVERYTHING SORTED. The BEST thing you can do is install your STOCK airbox, STOCK air filter and STOCK DV's and a STOCK MAF. Your car will run perfect, provided you have no more maintenance issues.
Omg I just read this whole damn thing and in speechless !!first off I feel very bad for tony , tony I truly truly feel bad for you!!
I feel like slashing my wrists with a rust dull butter knife !!
To the op ... *** it I'm I don't even know where to start I'll just leav it at that

I'll try to explain this again. First you must choose a hp number you really want. Then you design the motor for that number.
Adding parts because they sound good usually leads to some of the problems you are now experiencing. I stated earlier the chain is no stronger than your weakest link. Example, the EVOMS intake provides more air than the stock MAF (hot wire air reader) can handle. It puts the MAF out of range and results in your trouble. Whoever recommended or installed the EVOMS intake should have blueprinted the whole system to insure all the systems parts are compatible with your desired power number. Otherwise you will be chasing the weak links I have described for a very long time.
Some members have advised to go back to the stock box. Great, the question you need to ask is ..... will the stock box get me to my power number. If yes .... great. If no, then a different MAF or another system (like speed density) needs to be employed. This can be expensive and this is why it is good advise to employ someone who knows how to design/blueprint or have the ability to do it yourself. Otherwise you are at the mercy of people who are doing nothing better than guessing. It is like bring your car to a mechanic who starts changing one thing at a time until he finally identifies the right part that needed fixing.

The above advise does not simply apply to your current issue. Your whole modified motor needs to follow the same plan. I have listened to members say, take it to a real shop and criticize your lack of experience coupled with your desire to do it yourself. Part of what they are saying is good, trouble is there are few good shops that have the ability to design a whole system thru and those that do usually don't come cheap or want to get into something that someone has already mixed and matched so to speak. If you really get a good one they will have a specific power number and what exactly has to be done to reliably attain that number.
Be aware, you change you power objectives and a whole new set of weak links arise.
Good luck.

Im glad its fixed now i can raise the boost and give him some logs to tweak out anymore power and do some dyno numbers at 1.2 bars. Then injectors are next should be close to 600whp with race gas at 1.4 bars.
Please close thread problem is resolved also i like how retards on here leave me negative reps when i check out there threads and they have problems just the same and people tell them the same **** lol. Plus its funny when half of the people posted in here and had no clue on wtf there talking about no absolutle clue and i found it out myself what boneheads. This only goes to some people in this post. I learned my lesson and now i know how to work on my car. I dont sit on a forum and give bad ratings to people i do have a life i own 2 of these turbo porsches. Hell someone said in here a 10.3 afr WOT is great ya ok idiot. Thanks for the help to some of you.
Close thread thank you.

At the request of the thread originator I am closing his thread.
Frankly I am sorry to have it closed. People try, they make mistakes and hopefully they learn. As long as the person doesn't unjustly try to blame others why should anyone care? It isn't like anyone is forced to read a certain thread. All of us start somewhere, my opinion is a little more tolerance would be really helpful to threads like this one.
