800 hp on K16 Billets?
Mark , your still at it... I don't get you... I did not try to sell you the exhaust, you wanted get it for cost and get a guarantee on your car/ dyno- been there done that and I chose NOt to do it... why? because of your past history on other boards... I knew where you were going with it...
you without Tim would be one lost kid just like when you were begging me to help you find boost leaks in your car sending me Iphone videos along with your error codes... yet all of a sudden you became the Porsche authority... so please stop the nonsense its time to put you back in your place..
put me in my place? bring you 9 sec killer car to an event and put in me in my place. the thing about places is they change. and maybe one day this wont be a place where people pay 3000$ for exhaust using CHEAP 60$ cats from a "reputable" vendor.
lol please..... seen smoother dyno graphs from 2 stroke scooters.

No offense, Markski, but you definitely haven't "let it go" as evidenced by your post #50 in this very thread. layinback started this thread about what he perceives to be false-marketing by AMS, and you were more than happy to pile on with your "woe is me" 997 Turbo exhaust story again, which I've seen you post several other times on 6SO.
The primary complaint I've seen raised about that situation is that no vendor should be using $60 cats on a $3k+ exhaust for an $80k+ vehicle. Regardless of the end-user's horsepower goals, I've never seen you defend your decision to use ultra-cheapo catalytic convertors in your hand-built exhausts. Opinions are like a-holes, but from what I've seen in the high-end sports car community, you are making a significant mistake if you are selling aftermarket products that are spec'd out with junk components. Either make catless, or spec a quality catalyst (like HJS or better) but compromising on quality for source components isn't worth the reputation risk IMHO. My $0.02.
Full disclosure: I have no AMS or 911tuning products on my car, but do have an AWE exhaust and it was/is a very high quality product from my experience and observation.

I sincerely mean that but I thinks it's unfortunate that we're having
a debate about the quality of Markskis exhaust. In my opinion, it is AMS's
job to answer to Markskis accusations.

Thanks - and yes, agreed, the 911tuning exhaust quality is certainly off-topic for this thread; I won't belabor the point. I forgot to mention in my last post, but I do think it was stand-up of Markski to give that client a full refund.
Back to K16 billets, did you visit the link in post #127? 550 whp pump seem reasonable, or too high in your opinion?
History on other board lol? You mention M Boards. I never had an M so nice try. And I never wanted it for cost, you offerred few hundred bucks off and I said I was going to pay for the dyno time and shipping there and back. Seemed like a fair deal to me. You knew it wasnt going to make the power or at least wernt confident enough. Later I understood why.
me of all people ? i just find it entertaining when you try to put down AMS that is all. things they build and cars they were involved in are simply out of your league. FACT
was that before or after you guys kicked the headgasket in it?
you are correct i would not be where i am if Tim has not helped. oddly enough the car setup I built on my own in my driveway made 700whp SAME day car running your full kit based around same turbos made 515 whp on same dyno. that car had so many issues that even you the alltime self proclaimed porsche wizard couldnt fix and by that i mean handing it off to real shop and it still came back with half the issues. speaking of issues yes you did help me find a checkvalve when i was a noob and i thanked you for it in public forum and personal email. i have since paid it forward to others as well.
put me in my place? bring you 9 sec killer car to an event and put in me in my place. the thing about places is they change. and maybe one day this wont be a place where people pay 3000$ for exhaust using CHEAP 60$ cats from a "reputable" vendor.
my approach isnt negative towards everyone, dont broaden the scope by saying everyone and really i was over it. BUT seeing this crusade against AMS led by you and randy just sparked it back up because both you and him have a long way to go to be on their level. when my car sat side by side with one that had your parts on it the owner was scare to play, when it sat side by side with AMS GTR the owner wasnt. As i mentioned earlier i never owned an M. so nice try. my experience with bmw forum was when buncha bmw fan boys called me out and i came out to the spot and ran them all over.

I don't have a "crusade" against AMS. Earlier in this thread you were poking
fun at their 800 hp claims on a k16 billet! What gives? lol
There is a night and day difference between a "crusade" and a challenging
of marketed claims. I have seen you challenge people on this very forum.
Ironically, I have seen you use several opportunities to lambast Markski.
For every time I've mentioned AMS, I could find 10 instances where you
viciously attack Markski. This is a public forum and sometimes we agree
and sometimes we don't but you of all people shouldn't use terms like
"crusade."
Mark, you can always start a thread to challenge Markski! Marks protestations are directed toward AMS.

a problem if AMS claimed a 800 hp glory pull on a dyno....as a side note.
The problem I have is the general marketing schema that purports, on the
first sentence of the description, 800 hp capable. And to be honest, It's
the smug delivery that gets me.
And how about this logic: We will fly you to Chicago and if you don't come,
your challenge amounts to a case of slander! Like I can just drop what I'm
doing and fly to Chicago for a day or 2 lol. And " We'll pay you for your
time off at work." lol 2 days of my time would be roughly 20k. I'm in the
process of opening 2 international companies, each of which are a dozen
times larger than AMS. And this kid, quite arrogantly, offers me 1st class
tickets and a "paid vacation" to Chicago. lol

i wasnt trying to turn this into me vs him thread. im sorry. as i said in my post, the irony of him coming at AMS with false hp accusations was just too much for me to not post. am i entertained by 800hp billets - YES. if markski sold them everyone would run them just like SKI850 Fuel System upgrade he sold me . 850 -LOL

We should definitely consider a WWE style grudge match thread on 6
speed for situations like this.

But yes, I could write a book on the subject. It is a 140k book! lol
And it's one of the reasons I started this thread. I'm not out to get
AMS. But there are opportunist galore out there and in my opinion
AMS is one of the worst of offenders relative to Porsche.
It was an expensive education!!!
