Thanks.
I know eibach have their stamp on techart springs, so I am assuming they make them for techart.

Are stock shocks OK to use with the Eibach springs? How is the ride?

orijinal_poser is infamous around these parts
if you're using higher spring rates than stock, i would definitely upgrade to aftermarket shocks. say koni or bilstein or something..... with higher spring rates, it will wear out your stock shocks very quick.

Eibach makes a quality product.. And they are very consistent in there rates.

If you are just installing a lowering kit, then it is highly recommended that you upgrade the shock absorbers also.

For a little more money you might consider getting a coil over kit, you will most likely be happiest with that choice...

Either way I can help............

i'm running cargraphic springs with oem shocks. no problems and the shocks are still going strong after 7K miles with a total of 18K on the car.

i've heard awful things about the eibach on our cars. i would stick with cargraphic, techart, or HR.

eibach may have their stamp on the techart springs, but i bet the spring rate/materials are probably different.

Fabryce, I respect your opinion highly as you have a lot of track experience. But if the Eibach spring rates are not significantly more than stock and they do not lower enough to hit the bumpstops, shouldn't the stock shocks be up to the task for a street car? Personally, I think it is absurd to have coilovers unless you are tracking the car and this would necessitate corner weighing.

Glad to hear your oems are up to the task (so far!).

All the searching I've done shows that the Eibach/Techart are the more reliable springs and the H&R are the more troublesome ones.

Ask marc from bertsmithmoto what he thinks of the eibachs

seriously, check out the cargraphics. i researched this to death before i made my purchase. stock shocks are fine. unless you're putting mega miles on your car over really bumpy roads, i wouldn't worry about it. my car rides great and the drop is perfect. i wouldn't have lowered it anymore with coilovers. the handling is much better than stock. i'm sure the coilovers handle even better, but i don't track my car.
