Fuel Pump needs replacement - what direction?
since its fuel related would a 2004 gt3 fuel tank work in the turbo? i can get a used unit for stupid cheap and like the thought of the extra fuel and no horseshoe in the tank.

It's a turbo with the body parts and stuff on it. But I promise I will not write GT2 on the deck lid! Yes that chassis is the same for GT3, turbo and C4 cars. If you have remove the front Drive stuff it should work. Exactly, and your gas gauge will not be useless below 3/8 of a tank!

Yes get it!! The gt3/gt2 tank doesn't have the humps - not does it have the jet pump pickups. Note that the fuel pump basket is different - I care you don't have it.
Craig made an awesome fuel system in his car but it's a little much for the average guy to put together.
Dude I want my car back! So much work to get this blue one even close!
Not to mention prodigy, Tim and so many others that did the research and development on their kits.

vapor recovery system seems to an option as well even for the 200 and up cars. since mine is disconnected i would love to get rid of all of that and save a little weight
Great news Sam! Thanks for chiming in. This sounds like exactly what many of us are looking for! Any rough idea of a range the cost will come in at?
You gave me a great starting point - and I've continued to add. Just finished carbon bumpers, and supports - took another 50lbs out.
Silly rabbit motorsports. They have done a lot in the Audi world. Spending time with engineering firms in the past I can understand and appreciate their efforts and techniques applied. They also have lots of experience with fuel consumption and the variables from pump fuel to race fuel to E85. After speaking with Sean it looks like there will be two options. A nice clean system for one 450 pump and stock lines for the guys who need that little bit more. (Many of us). Then a dual pump set up with upgraded lines and provisions all the way to the rails. Everything will be plug-and-play, mill spec and overbuilt. My favorite part is that it will be one of the cleanest best looking solutions. There have been some great fuel systems put together but they are just not a kit. And we all don't need 1200 hp lol.
There will be some pros and cons and it will be that expensive. I promise you will have info next week. You were in a position that you have syvex which is you so much flexibility. For others it would just plug right in and have mill spec fittings ready to go. Also no major modifications required. I guess it depends what you consider major or minor.

Look forward to seeing the new basket when its done but 2 455's will need a -8 supply and -6 return to take full advantage of them.
BTW guys you dont need a Syvecs etc to run a pump booster it can be done by a boost reference and ups pump performance by up to 85%

Another little FYI. The two small black rubber hoses on the fuel pump assembly need to be replaced or reinforced if you are upgrading fuel pressure. Those are the ones that always split with higher pressure.
That's a good deal. You will also need the tank gauge, fuel pump basket, venturi tube, retaining straps, and a couple of other odds and pieces. It's about $1200 worth of stuff. Install is a bit involved as the power steering rack will need to come out along with some suspension pieces.
The GT2 tank uses on jet pump as opposed to two on the TT. You have to get the fuel into the basket somehow. In case you decide to pass on the tank, let me know as I might be interested.

Good point Sam. Is there a U-shaped hose replacement available? Based on what I have read, when guys blow this hose, the whole pump assembly has to be replaced. Am I understanding that right?

i did find out it seems the 2004 gt3 tanks are 67 litre tanks while the older pre 2003 can be had with 90 litre capacity. thats the one i would like to find
