I can give you raw data in excel if you want, but for now here is what I am seeing...

Idle-
AFR wants to be stoich, but it fluctuates +/- 0.01
Ignition Angle tends to stay +6.75 to +7.5 range; there are a few blips as high as 9, and as low as 4, and I can't seem to put my finger on what is causing that with the data that I sampled, and there is no pattern or regularity to it.

I'll get a steady cruise reading for you on the drive home and post tonight/tomorrow.

Awesome, just what I needed for idle! The timing changes could easily be the car adjusting timing to maintain idle in addition to using the throttlebody. I've got quite a lightweight flywheel and clutch and my timing moves a ton lol.

Thank you!

Have a 2004 X50 996 tt cab. Car is stock with the exception of a catless Switzer exhaust new set of PSS10 Bilstein coilovers both soon to be installed. Considering a Cobb tuner as well. This will be the end of mods as I would like to keep the car reasonably stock.
Cobb accessport a good idea?

I have been running a cobb stage 2 OTS 93 octane tune on mine for about 10k miles without any issues. Makes the same or better power than the APR tune I had on it prior.

I like that I have the option to have a custom tune made for my car and I can log if I need to.

The Cobb is certainly worth it, I have it on my 04. Am quite happy with it. Take up Sam's offer, he will set you up, your car will thank you. I also went with the Kline exhaust, together they really wake the car up. The only minor downside is your mpg may go down, due to your right foot always wanting to nail the gas, but your smile per miles will go definitely go up.

. I have a 2002 Porsche 996 turbo X50 with a EVOMS air intake, Fabspeed GT2 aggressive exhaust with 100 cell cats, Kevlar clutch and K24 turbos. I just purchased the cobb tuner and was disappointed to see no maps other than stage 0 or 1 which are meant for a stock 996 turbo according to the map notes. When I look at the revision history I see there were maps for stage 2 for various octane. Am I missing something here, should I see maps for stage 2. I already had a tune a long time ago and before any mods and the main reason I bought it was to try a stage 2 map. Can you direct me here? I haven’t installed it yet, as I also read that it wont save my existing map. I didn’t wont to go backwards in terms of performance as I already see 1.0 bar boost sometimes 1.1, and 7000 as a redline..
Let me know please.

Good question. On the X-50 and GT2 cars stage 1 is like 2. Feel free to send me logs and I can go over them with you as well as see if you have any gains to be had custom tuning.

Thx for the reply. I saw under the map notes that stage 1 is for otherwise stock 996 turbo. I figured since I had an air intake and exhaust that a stage 2 would be indicated. I assume that the boost may be raised to 1 bar with the stage 1 but would this change my redline as I currently have a 7000rpm cutoff with the tune i had long ago. As i said I dont wont to go backwards in performance. It seems that many people are happy with stage 2 ots maps I just dont know why i dont see them anymore...Ill keep u posted, may just go ahead with the install of stage 1
