Cobb was able to reflash my GTR V3 unit to the 996TT software for 150 bucks!
Anyone know which Stage 2 OTS map is the correct one to use? Seems like there are a ton of Stage 2 maps to download off their map database?
6700-5809
6120-5828
6700-581E
etc..
How do I get the most revised/latest map off the site? Anyone know what the number naming convention means?
Awesome
For the map if you uploaded the new software, plug the cobb in and it will auto detect and upload the correct version of the tune for that ecu.
I have a stock 05 996T, Does that mean I am stage 1 with just the AP? What kind of gains can I expect to see?
Also, what do I need to be stage 2? Full Exhaust, or something else? What are the gains expected for that?
Thank you.
Stage 2 all you need is an exhaust just diverter valves and boost hoses I'd say are recommended.
Stage 2 on mine was night and day difference, especially at higher rpm it pulls much harder.
have just recently purchased the cobb acessport v3 and will be doing a dyne tune in about a month or so....for any of you that lives in the GTA are Magnus Motorsports is a certified cobb pro tuner, he will be doing the tune on my car
For those that have it... have you guys watched the knock voltage? Specifically at part throttle around 2.8-3k rpm just commuting. I get mild readings in that area. Wonder if it's shifting and/or piston rattle vs any real knock?

I noticed I have had timing pulled from weird rpm locations and NOT under full throttle. It's usually less than 1 degree and had only happened a few times.

can you guys post some pics of where you have your cobb mounted
I wasn't very keen on mounting it, so it stays in the glove compartment. I did some datalogs for Sambo and simply kept the Cobb in my lap for my 3rd/4th gear pulls.
No need to permanently mount it. Glass mount! Specifically, I've got a generic cell phone windshield mount. Along with a right angle OBD-II adapter so my shoe doesn't catch the plug. Works great. What's also nice is that the cobb unit sits so deep towards the windshield that it's not obvious from a passing car.
Actually, turns out my generic glass mount suction cup has the same ball adapter as the cobb specific holder. So I married them together.

Oh thats perfect looking! Got a link to the cell phone holder on Amazon perhaps?
Thats a brilliant mounting solution. I may use that as well once I convince myself to buy the kit. I was just going to put it unplugged and in the storage compartment when not needed and allow it to sit in my lap for logging etc.
