coolant hose keeps popping out

So I've now tried attaching this hose 3 times. Its a brand new oem porsche 996tt hose.

Each time it's fine when I drive around. I am able to idle it and bleed the system. When I full throttle to red line in gear it is popping out. Any thoughts? I can hear it physically snap in place when I put it in there. I am running out of ideas here...

Could it be the clip thats worn out? After it cooled off I pulled the hose out of the way, left the clip on and felt with my finger nails. It feels like there is only something catching the hose on one side. The other side is nearly flush. Makes sense it might pop off easily given that fact?

I found online that the left and right coolant hose clips were different size. Went outside pulled them off, holy crap yep slightly different sizes. I swapped them and now the right hand side has a good area to latch onto. Wow that's seriously dumb... they are within millimeters of being the same size.

Will find out tommorow if it holds now. Wish me luck!

the c-clips are notorious for losing their ability to clip. replace them all.

swap the clips. When I replaced my coolant hoses, I realized the clips are ever so slightly different in size. one clip fits both sides where the other only fits into one side. In fact. I marked them when I took them off so as not to screw this up. hope it helps.

it's crazy. sometime it is the SMALLEST yet critically important items we never think about, and are most often overlooked that cause us the most consternation ! congrats!

I had the same issue, bought new hose and clip, and the same thing happened. I did not know the right and left side clip were slightly different and the supplier did not inform me. After the second time I installed the new hose, put on the clip, put a high quality hose clamp over the clip to hold pressure (this alone held it on well), did an X-pattern on the hose/alum fitting with plastic covered metal wire. End of problem.

The amount that people say to just buy things here is crazy. Lol

"Ignition switch, maf, and n75 is OK? Better change them".
