Need Advice - Painting rotor hats

After posting some pics of my car a few weeks ago a few people pointed out my rotor hats needed to be painted since they were exposed and would show rust after a wash. see below
Attachment 540787

I am thinking of attacking these this weekend and was wondering what I should use. High temp duplicolor or some sort of high temp rattle can black? Tape off entire area obviously? What about dry time?
Thanks for any input

cant help but this reminds me as i replace rotors how fugly and in need of paint my calipers are from old track days gone by. i just dont have replacements or a place to swap cores with shiny newly painted ones so i dont have any downtime for a cosmetic issue. just cant deal lol. at least the new rotors and hub are coated and new.

i bet ya can just rattle can em with some rustoleum? cheese whiz fix yet right up my alley, sad to say.

I'm using rustoleum gray using foam brush= don't have to worry about overspray. I usually buy coated also but mine are in good shape so just touching up.

no one is gonna notice if the application is even halfway decent. until and unless of course you take your car to the concourse judges

In the past I've used rustoleum bbq grill paint with good results...it is cheap, readily available, and can handle the heat. Tape up the swept surface with newspaper and spray away!

I used the duplicolor with good results. If you track they will peal in the area closet to the friction point. It looks MUCH better painted that rusty!

ya know.. for those of us that dont mind using an oem replacement part, at 100 each the sebro rotors sure look good if even in "rustoleum grey" lol. i just put some on last nite and theyre not gonna fade or rust like my old ones.. but the calipers faded pink/reddish. fughly and a whole 'nother story needing to be addressed. read painted with decals lol

/graphite grey with white lettering to match the wheels/car. hmm, maybe black
