inspect fuel pump after 20000km with 5bar and 80000km over all

pump was only able to made 98psi

first picture shows the pump inside the collector was worn out / magnetic stator was lose and made some noises

so time to do a testversion

i use tim´s version and install a walbro 450 intank (excuse my dirt finger`s)

after install i do a log...afrs very good up to 1,5bar boost..pump is able to do more than 120psi ( engine is more powerfull and save)

a very good advice from tim ...thanks

Take a close look at the wiring with the 450 (25amp+) the stock wiring is not rated to carry that much power, just something to keep an eye on.

Also the pump flow falls off heavily up top because of an internal pressure valve. With the 5bar reg this will happen at 1.2bar off boost.

You can mod the top of the pump to increase the pressure of the internal valve and stop the drop off. I would recommend this for anyone with a 5bar.

Itguy can provide instructions

Can you explain exactly what is involved in the "relay job?" Parts needed, wiring diagram, etc. Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but electrical is not my forte. I am getting ready to swap out my whining pump with the Walbro as well.

cut the 2 cables at the connector at the fuel pump / let short cables stay at the connector / this 2 cables plus is green white and minus is brown connect with the relais/ green white to 85 and brown to 86 this will switch the relais on and off

(you can use this cables after cutting...long enough....

take a 4,0mm2 cable plus from batterie to the relais (30) and the output of the relais (87) to the plus connector of the fuelpump (you can soldering the ends together)

the minus cable from chassis (4,0mm2) to the minus connector direct to the fuelpump

Thanks. That makes it a little clearer. I need to pull my pump cover to get a better visual.
