rob per the x post and your issue? the guy i dealt w @ last year @ TR was "Preston". he was just a rep but was handed the unpleasant task of having to inform me of their initial inability to fulfill my order and he kept me advised by phone all 6-8 weeks as the situation progressed.it seemed an eternity at the time since i only had THREE fkn f;stars at the time! ( fellas keep spare wheels lol )
what i do remember is just their was a QC issue with one of the 12's and for that reason my wait involved not only the build but also the PCoat process. because i'd already ordered and the price was too good i basically had no chose but to wait. they were very forthcoming with updates re mfg/pc'ing/shipping all of it since the final wheel came from Italy where made, not TR in AZ? just their largest US distribber.
but none of this is gonna help you and i didn't keep any more details since i never got involved in the "whys"of it all. i'll X post this in your 6 thread perhaps if theres just enough general "noise" it'll help? i'm out of ideas AND beer bro!

repaired with whom jim?? keep ALL notes and their needs to be a file compiled that will ultimately be sent directly to OZ QC's dept.
if this is NOT the result of something YOU did or contributed to?? this needs to be addressed by the MFG'r directly. ANYone other than OZ! will void or become a "denied warranty" issue would be my concern. buckled? wtf.
also.. the only aspect that would concern me vis a vis OZ and direct dealings is the "used" bit. they surely wont honor anything not purchased "new".
buckling wtf is THAT?

Buckled might be wrong choice of word, more like slightly bent. My tire shop said it wasn't real bad but enough to cause vibrations. I saw it while it was spinning and you could definitely see the bend but only while its spinning.
Yes, bought them used and dont expect anything from Oz.
Not sure how it happened, I didn't drive very far on them and I had them checked soon after purchase.
Having them repaired by a shop who specializes in wheel refurbishing. They have the latest state of the art equipment and highly recommended by a lot of top end indie shops.

well you should have good luck with it. i had to have one of mine touched up for a paint scratch with a remote wheel repair service, and i saw mine spinning on their ( whatever its called ) and it was as true as could be. it was never bent, it was merely scuffed though. this on a set that wasn't even a month old.
can't win with keeping stuff perfect. usually i give up lol.
still unclear what the symptoms of rob's are though, since he got them directly and his issue seems more a mfg defect..?

If something good comes out of this, maybe we can figure out wheel serial numbers and work on yours as well...
will do, thanks for the support!
Thanks for 'lighting the fire'(on RL) on this situation again
appreciate the support! I'm hoping for the best...is hard to imagine a large company would be willing to jeopardise so much reputation over so little(relative) money....

Well it's confirmed guys, Warranty has been denied again.
I will never buy another OZ Racing wheel, or likely any wheel from Tirerack.
Clearly I can't stand to trust the quality of OZ or their warranty, so I'll stick to wheels I feel safe with; I feel Tirerack should've helped me along here as well, I buy a decent amount of tires/wheels/suspension/brakes from them, they are normally very good to me but I feel burned this round...OZ is supposed to be one of their best wheel brands, what's the rest like..

Sorry to hear that Rob. I won't ever use Tire Rack or recommend OZ to anyone.. Tire Rack is an exclusive OZ dealer and had a chance to make it right but blew it. Their loss in the long run. They're not the only game in town for tires...
Thanks John!
I'm really pretty shocked at their conclusion to this whole situation; even the lowest end parts companies usually are happy to warranty their stuff to keep a customer.
I've posted pics on the RL link above and will post here as well when I get to my computer, needless to say they look brand new and yet is unusable...I'm not going to even attempt to straighten it for street duty, its junk.
Regards,
Rob
