Red face My build, SRM k24+, Cobb, IPT...

Hey guys, my car is a 2003 tip, and here's what I've done to it so far.

-SRM k24+
-SRM intercoolers
-1000cc Bosch injectors
-Cobb AP
-Pauter rods
-IPD plenum
-Evoms hitachi MAF conversion
-IPT valve body, torque converter and high performance clutch kit, with blue top solenoids
-water meth injection
-custom x pipe exhaust
-Evoms tcu software upgrade

I couldn't be more happy with how everything went. Sean and Kyle of SRM Engineering are amazing guys, with amazing products. The intercoolers and turbos went on without a hitch, and the quality of these parts is awesome. I've dealt with them for years for the Audi community (I still do, in fact, I installed the same k24+ on my shop B5 S4) Thanks guys, glad to have you in this community now!

John at IPT is a pleasure to deal with. I Basically bought all the parts and built the tranny here (I'm in Montreal). I highly recommend him to any tip guys looking for an upgrade.

Of course, the guys at Cobb are great to deal with as well, and their product exceeded my expectations.

Sam at Evoms is a man of his word. He made sure to overnight my tcu, and actually prepared return shipping before he even received my tcu. Thanks Sam and Todd!

I ended up using an Evoms hitachi maf conversion that i had in the shop from a previous project, as well as an Evoms intake piping kit, which I had to modify to fit around the tip tranny.

So far, I hadn't had time to complete the tuning, but I'm running a very safe and conservative 16lbs of boost, until I find time to turn it up. Tuning will be done on our dynapack, and I will report the results/progress.

I was afraid that the turbos would spool too late for an automatic car, but not the case. Feels super strong, and the transmission is CRISP to say the least. I'm, super happy with how this is going. I hope to finish the tuning and get it on the drag strip SOON!

Here are a few pics, I wish I would have taken more!

Badass to see a Tip car going this route. I'd like to do something similar in the future. Did you do anything with the stall speed?

Not sure. Tuning with Cobb, we're running into limiter after limiter...the only clean dyno run with no throttle cut thus far was at around 13 psi, made 500/500 to the rear wheels. Hoping on turning it up to 25 or so.
