Recommended plugs for Stg 2 Cobb tune?

Hi Guys, I wanted to reach out to the 6speed community for a quick one. I have a 996 turbo with the Cobb stage 2 tune right now and i'm changing up the coils and plugs. Car is stock with catless x-pipe.

-Which plugs/model# is recommend to use for the stage 2 tune/93 octane map? and what should I gap them to?

Thanks all,
J

Not stock but the right part, FR6LDC. On my third set with no issues. I get about 20K miles before they start missing at full tilt.

Are you relatively stock or close to stock with just a tune for exhaust?

I have custom stage 2 tune, Forge intercoolers, it's and X50 so k24 turbos pushing 1.1 bar. 1 bar waste gates and had a 2.5" kline exhaust on it. Just switched back to the stock exhaust for Kali smog check. With the kilne exhaust and after reviewing my logs, my tunner (sambo) said i should be pushing mid 5s on the HP and that it is maxed out for safe power with out increased fueling. With the stock exhaust i probably lost 20-30 HP so low 5s now. I put a lot of low stress miles on with my occasional long range commute. 1 to 2 track days a year also. For perspective, i get 20K miles out of a set of rear tires. So all and all i go pretty easy on her.

Nice! kinda what i'm striving for inthe near future. is your car a X50? or did you just upgrade to the k24's. K24's stock or billet wheel?

it is a X50. if i was going to the next level i would install the 18-24? hybrid turbos and a up-sized set of injectors. i like round numbers, 600 would be enough i think. HP is a tricky thing, you get used to it. Went for a ride with my son the other day and said "it doesn't pull like it used to". He said it still sucks the blood out of his face and not to worry.

Yup, I'm at almost 15K miles on my last set and it still runs perfectly.

Todd Knighton @ Protomotive and Marski @ MARSKItuning recommend Denso (3245) PK20PR-P8 Double Platinum

Denso 3425 at Amazon Denso 3425 at Amazon

I've run these in my car for the last 7+ years with no issues, mods in signature.

Good luck.

Rarely talked about but I run Bosch F5DP0R Double Platinum Spark Plugs in my 996TT. Almost 30k miles now and flawless. On gt2960r 1.1 and 1000cc injectors.

These were developed for high output turbo engines that demanded longer service intervals. Namely the Audi S4. Probably simlary to the Denso 3425 posted above.
